Instant protection.

The G-Form Pro-X Elbow Pads don’t rely on excessive padding to protect you. Instead, it uses a technology called RPT to provide flexibility when you’re riding, with impact protection the moment you hit the deck. This technology is rate-dependent. This means that the molecules, which make up the soft padding, slightly repel each other under normal wear. Upon impact, they instantly bind and redistribute impact force to reduce injury. Once the energy from the impact is gone, the material once again becomes soft and pliable. They are form fitting with an articulated design to provide freedom of movement.

  • Articulated elbows

Light, Comfortable, Strong

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These pads are fantastic. They are extremely comfortable and keep your extremities protected. While riding I do not feel as though my arms are restricted and the material is quite breathable. So far I have not fallen while wearing them so nothing to report yet about how effective they are, but I can certainly say that they give me peace of mind while riding. I'm a fairly small fellow, 5'8" 145 lbs, and I found the mediums to fit very comfortably.

Cheaper than an ER visit

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

From what I've heard from friends in the nursing profession the most common ER visit from mountain biking is for lacerations on the elbow. These are a great answer to that problem. The pads are breathable and don't restrict movement while wearing them. I've found myself even wearing the pads while pedaling up since the fabric and even the padded area breathes well. They can also take an impact well, I went down in a rock garden first thing with them and they not only protected my skin, but they came out looking pretty as well.

Very light weight

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I finally found an extra small elbow pad that fits my scrawny girl arms.. I do wish they were a bit more flexible when I bend my arms but they aren't too bad I barely notice them. They are just hard to get off when sweaty. I don't think sizing up would have helped me much. I haven't fallen in these yet but I feel safer in them. I'm just glad I won't get too scraped up and scar up my arm tattoos now.

G-Form Elbow Pads

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Recently I wrecked pretty hard at Canyons bike park with no knee or elbow protection. I scrapped my elbow pretty bad enough to want to get elbow pads. These pads are very flexible and don't get too hot while riding. I haven't wrecked with them on yet, but they seem like they will do very well with protection because of how hard they get on impact. I would recommend these to anyone who rides bikes or does extreme sports.

My elbow was spared.

I am one of those dingbats on the bike prone to bumps and bruises. And I would've banged up my elbow really good this evening without the g-form protection. It's sore, and bruised, but it's without cracks or dents. I couldn't agree more with the post below, these pads are reliable, lightweight, slim protection. Perfect for wearing under layers on a downhill, and comfortable enough for the peddle up.

    Great, light protection

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm personally on my 2nd set of knees, I own a set of these, and juts bought a set for my girlfriend. Light protection for your elbows for under a long sleeve jersey while riding DH, or great for more aggressive trail riding where a little extra protection is wanted. Light weight, can be easily stowed in a pack for the climb up.

    Great lightweight pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These basically feel like arm warmers and have a great fit. They stay in place and don't ride up, as opposed to my POC pads that constantly slide around. I have larger forearms proportionally than would normally pair with upper arms and these accommodate way, way better than my other pads do. Only downside is that they are already fairly warm when it is 70 out, I hope gen 2 has more breathable fabric.

    Snug fit while still flexible

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Perfect for the biker who wants to get after it and feel protected without having to be hyper aware of all the gear weighing you down. These fit snuggly while still allowing plenty of movement and airflow so they are too stuffy. Good bang for your buck too!

Non Newtonian gel at its finest

Pads fit great, no sagging and feel cool and comfortable. If recommend going to their website to get the right measurements to get sized correctly.

      Breathable and Protective

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are the first pair of pads I have owned for biking. Coming from more of an XC background it wasn't really something I had considered. I recently got a bigger bike, started descending more difficult technical sections of trail and before I knew it I was feeling quite vulnerable and exposed.

I picked these up for their simplicity and protection characteristics. I have thoroughly tested them out. I recently went over the bars at Corner Canyon in Utah and I was pretty beat up. My knees and elbows however took the brunt of the crash and I am convinced these things saved my bacon.

What I like most about them is the level of comfort. I often don't even take them off until i have driven home, I don't even really notice them.

On the intangible side of things I have found that they up my confidence level knowing that if I do go down, there is something between me and the exposed rock.

Try these out, I am convinced you will be very happy with them.
