There have always been two schools of thought when it comes to body armor: bulky hard shells that focus on protection or low-profile soft shells that focus on comfort. Because of this, body armor has either been uncomfortable or it lacked adequate protection. G-Form is trying to change that with its Crash Short with Reactive Protection Technology.
Because of the glaring inadequacies of hard- and soft-shell body armor, the designers at G-Form decided to come up with a new, revolutionary form of body armor. They felt that hard shell armor was uncomfortable and soft shell armor didn't provide enough protection. G-Form's RPT splits the difference. It's both, and neither. RPT is a soft, flexible foam material that conforms to the
contours of your body. However, in the event of an impact, it hardens
instantly to provide the protection of a hard shell. It truly is the
best of both worlds. RPT actually protects even better than hard shell because it absorbs the impact to prevent damage caused by repeated, rebounding impacts.
The Crash Short is made up of a fabric main body and five large pads: one on each thigh, one on each hip, and one on the tailbone. The main body of the Crash Short is stretchy, breathable synthetic fabric. This material allows air to pass through so your skin can breathe and you can stay cool. It also keeps the pads firmly in place so, unlike separate pads, your thigh pads stay on your thighs, your hip pads stay on your hips, and your tailbone pad stays over your tailbone.
The G-Form Crash Short is available in four sizes: Small through X-Large. It comes in Black or Yellow.
