In the early days of the Altamira, Fuji's engineers used real-time race feedback gathered from Spanish squad Geox to refine its new frame platform. This two-year R&D process in proved to be a success, eventually leading to the refined Altamira design, as Geox's Juan Jose Cobo relied on his trusty new steed to claim the top spot in 2011's grueling Vuelta. This updated, world-class race machine is now being built as a complete package, armed with a sleek Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain that's ready for everything you decide to throw its way.
Fuji built its top-end Altamira from a high-modulus D-6 carbon blend. This is the highest level of carbon material Fuji manufactures, capable of producing incredibly low tube weights that deliver a stiff yet compliant road feel. Fuji applied the D-6 carbon to the Altamira using a three-tube — top, head, and down tube — monocoque front end, which was then molded to a second monocoque section that encompasses the bottom bracket and chainstays. The seat tube and seatstays were molded separately, with all of the components assembled together using a modified tube-to-tube joining process. According to Fuji, the joints of the frame were strategically placed in low stress areas of the frame to provide a light, stiff, and vertically-compliant ride.
By working with professional riders, Fuji's engineers were able to tweak the carbon tube shapes for an optimal race-tuned feel. They kept the lower chassis incredibly stiff by mating the large down tube and chainstays to an oversized press-fit BB86 bottom bracket. The enlarged juncture created an ultra-stiff pedaling platform, which, for you, means an efficient transfer of power directly into your rear wheel. Moving up from this section of the frame, Fuji paired a tapered top tube and slender seatstays for an overall balanced road feel. The result in this matchup is a rigid lower half of the frame combined with a more compliant upper section.
Rounding out the front of the frame, a tapered 1-1/8in to 1-1/2in head tube provides maximum rigidity and predictable handling. The fork Fuji developed specifically for the Altamira was molded from a lightweight FC-330 carbon layup. Below its tapered carbon steerer, Fuji's signature flared upper-blade fork design, which works to provide both front end rigidity and aerodynamics, flows down into the slender carbon dropouts. The Altamira includes an Oval integrated headset and carbon dropouts (with a replaceable hanger) at the rear of the frame.
For the build kit of the Altamira, Fuji complemented its BB86 bottom bracket with a full Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 10-speed groupset. The machine includes Rotor's 3D+F 53/39t crankset and an 11-25t cassette. At the cockpit, the build features an Oval 910 carbon handlebar and Oval 700 stem, with Selle Italia's SL Kit Carbonio perched atop Oval's 900-series seatpost. In terms of wheels, the Altamira rolls on a pair of Oval's dependable 745 carbon/alloy clinchers that have been wrapped with Hutchinson's Atom Comp tires.

Don't buy, old Di2 are unreliable
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I bought this bike in May of 2014 and put about 1,500 miles by June of 2015 when the Di2 stopped working. What the description doesn't say is this is the first gen of Durace Di2 which is no longer supported by Shimano. Your LBS won't have any diagnostic tools and they'll tell you to swap out the shifters and derailleurs.
Bottoms line, buyer beware: you'll have to budget *at least* $1,200k in replacement parts to keep the equivalent groupset on your bike over the next two years. I contacted CC support and they offered no "make good" on selling a crap groupset. Otherwise, the bike rides great.

I have had this bike since the end of January. For the past two weeks I have been experiencing some serious battery outage problems. Even after charging the battery for a full night (8+ hours) and only going on a 28mi ride today, at the end of my 1.5 hr ride the red light came on again and my gears in the back stopped shifting. Does anyone know if this bike is known for having these problems? What can I do about it? I'm a racer and can't have these unexpected continuous problems popping up.

For this bike we're not able to swap any of the parts out. We buy it complete from Fuji and aren't able to re-inventory any of the individual parts.

IF I ride a Domga 65.1 in a 53, would I ride the same with the Fuji as well? Im noticing the top tube length is 3cm longer on the 53 fuji compared to the dogma where as the 50 fuji is almost identical to the 53 dogma. Let me know as I am ready to pull the trigger on one or the other

In the final paragraph is says that the Carbon/Yellow bike is available in sizes up to 58cm. In the 'Geometry' drop down menu however, only sizes 44cm to 55cm are listed. Does the sale only apply to the aforementioned bike sizes and not 58cm.
It does not apply to bikes that are a size 58cm because we do not have any in stock.

What are the crank / bar / stem specs for the 50? Are these swap'able if not ideal?
The sz 50 most likely uses a 172.5 crank, 110 stem and 42 center to center bars. Unfortunately as this is offered as a complete bike from Fuji, swaps are not available.
