IBIS MOJO HD/SRAM X0/X9 COMPLETE BIKE

At 6.3 pounds, the Ibis Mojo HD is one of the lighter, if not the lightest, 160mm travel mountain bike available—by a pound or two in many cases. But weight is only one aspect of the complete package, and it's only worth something if it's paired with handling and toughness.Free shipping on all Featured Bikes The full-carbon Mojo HD has an abundance of each. Equipped with the proven, ultra-active, and efficient DW-link suspension, and dressed with handpicked components from SRAM and Easton, this pedal-able, gravity-hungry gnarl hound is ready to rip.

Handling is a function of a number of things working in harmony—geometry, stiffness, and suspension design. Although the HD shares its curvy, organic profile with the Mojo, it’s a completely different animal, born of an optimized high-modulus carbon layup and different molds that enhance strength and stiffness. Furthering the toughness theme are dual-row angular contact bearings in the forward location of the heavy-duty lower link, and over-sized radial units in the rear location. Add into the picture a 142 x12mm Maxle rear axle, a tapered headtube, and geometry perfected with input from Flyin’ Brian, and you can expect the Mojo HD to own the trail.

To some gravity junkies, 160mm of rear wheel travel may appear to be on the shorter end of the spectrum, but like the classic bedroom cliché, it’s all in how you use it. The Mojo HD hinges on the much praised DW-link suspension system, which provides a bottomless feel, and its highly active, anti-squat nature ensures you get the most out of those millimeters. If you need any more reassurance, this is the same bike raced by Lopes on downhill courses.

The Mojo HD relies on a Fox Float RP23 that has been massaged with the durable, super-smooth Kashima coating and an adaptive logic boost valve for the best possible performance. The air sprung Fox Float 36 160 RLC Fork matches the 160mm travel DW-link rear suspension nicely. This combo gives the Mojo HD a 67 degree head tube angle for lively handling, but it remains composed on the steep stuff. The Float has adjustable rebound and compression for fine tuning, and a lockout for those pushes back up.

SRAM X0/X9 components are a perfect match for the Mojo's rugged manners. You'll get an X0 2X10 Crankset with 42/28 chainrings and a PG-1050, 12-36-tooth cassette, along with a matching X0 rear derailleur. This combination offers all the gear ratios needed to get around the mountain. Shifting duty is handled by X9 triggers. You'll roll on Easton’s Haven wheels wrapped in Schwalbe Performance Rocket Ron 2.25in tires, and when the time comes to slow down, Avid Elixir 9 brakes will give you the power and modulation you need. Easton EA70 parts get the nod for the handlebar, stem, and seatpost, and a Sella Italia SL Kit Carbonio completes the cockpit.

The Ibis Mojo HD/SRAM X0/X9 Complete Bike is Matte Black/carbon and comes in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large.
