SANTA CRUZ SUPERLIGHT D XC COMPLETE BIKE

With 100mm of travel, and aggressive cross-country geometry, the Santa Cruz Superlight is a lightweight, fast-handling, bump-eating cross-country bike. The Superlight is designed to strike a balance of stability and mobility. It rides well at low and high speeds alike, feels agile going up the mountain, and stable going down. In other words, it makes for a great ride. Our Santa Cruz Superlight D XC Complete Bike is ready for the trail and brings a great value to the Superlight's legendary performance.

The Superlight frame is crafted from shaped 6069 aluminum tubing. The main triangle is largely round, but the swingarm tubes have more of a squared shape. Round allows for great all-around stiffness, while the squared shapes allow for better tire and frame tube clearance. The suspension duties are handled on both ends by Fox, with a Float R rear shock and a Rock Shox Recon SA R 120mm front fork. With this combo, the Superlight will be great for XC and marathon racing/endurance riding.

The D XC build kit consists of a Shimano drivetrain with the duties split between Deore for the crank, cassette, and shifters, and SLX for both derailleurs. The Race Face Ride XC handlebar, stem, and seatpost are all sensible alloy bits and are a nice foundation for the Lizard Skin Charger grips and WTB Rocket V Comp saddle. Mavic XM 117 rims are laced to Shimano M525 hubs with DT spokes for a durable wheelset. Fast-rolling Maxxis Crossmark tires round out the wheel package and Avid Juicy 3 brakes bring it all to a stop.

The Santa Cruz Superlight D XC Complete Bike is available in Black or Red powder-coat and comes in four sizes -- Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. There are water bottle mounts on the top and bottom of the down tube. The frame has a two year warranty against manufacturing defects, while the bearings are guaranteed for life.
