Flip it and stick it.

For most of us, it all started with a BMX bike. We made the progression through the years through cycling's different genres until we found our way to mountain bikes. But there was something about the feeling we got soaring through the air on our BMX bike. We'd look for most anything to jump -- dirt, rocks, toys, the family dog, and despite Mom's protests, even our friends.

We've grown up a bit since then, but the fire still burns. Bikes have grown up too, and the completely redesigned Santa Cruz Jackal is now years ahead of all others. A 26" dirt jump specialist, it's designed to do everything that you can't. Yet.

The most noticeable difference in the Jackal is its dramatic weight loss -- 1.7 pounds less than the 2008 version -- and Santa Cruz did so without compromising one iota of toughness. It lost the "hump" atop the top tube providing far greater standover clearance (about 3" worth), and oodles more room for aerial spins.

The Jackal's rear dropout is indicative that it's a labor of love for Santa Cruz -- super adjustable, it's designed to run with gears, or as a mono-cog, allowing you to microadjust chainstay length and tension to suit your needs. Slack 68.7° head and 71.7° seat angles paired with dramatically more compact 15.3" chainstays make the Jackal easy to throw around. And, because it's built super tough, you can run it with any fork from 80-160mm of travel (or rigid of course.)

The Santa Cruz Jackal is powder coated in your choice of Black, Lime, Liquid Blue, Red, White, or Yellow. It has a 1-1/8” head tube, and a 30.9mm seat tube. The bottom bracket shell is 73mm wide, and should you choose to run it geared, it uses a 34.9mm dual-pull front derailleur. The dropout is adjustable to optimize chain tension. The frame weight is 4.8lbs (2.180kg). It has a two year warranty against manufacturing defects.

US Santa Cruz dealers are prohibited from shipping Santa Cruz bicycles outside of the United States.
