Description

The Transition will change the way you think about your helmet.

Too many low-profile helmets lack adequate ventilation—that's why Fox Racing gave the freeride-ready Transition Bike Helmet skate styling, then added a ton of vents to cool your head when the competition heats up. The other thing you'll notice when you put it on is how light it is. That's because while most dirt jump helmets have heavy plastic shells, the Transition has the same in-mold construction featured in Fox Racing's other helmets. The final result is the badass look you want, with the light weight, ventilation, and protection you require.

Great Value

This helmet is a great value at the price. Its SUPER light weight. Not like a normal skate style helmet. Its pretty comfy and seems to vent well. I ride rocky, rooty trails, often downhill on steep mountain sides. Some times my Full face is over kill, and this is a good alternative to wearing spandex and those goofy XC helmets. If i crash wearing this id feel good about getting back up and walking it off. Sale price was great, and my LBS couldnt match the price! Thanks Hucknroll!

Great lid

This thing is pretty good in my opinion. I like that it offers enough protection for dirt jumping and intense freeriding while still maintaining plenty of ventilation to keep you cool.

great product

Recently switched from xc style helmets and have been really pleased with this product. Ventilates really well for the skater style helmet and has yet to give me any rashes. Only con so far has been the interiors cushion cloth has peeled off after 4 uses but the foam itself it still comfortable

The helmet to get

This helmet is way lighter than I expected. I have an old xc helmet and the transition was lighter than it. With the two different sizes of pads I was able to make it fit just right and the straps adjust in all the right places. And the helmet looks just plain sick.

Sizing is OFF, size down.

I bought it for use as a MTB/Urban helmet that would work for Skiing. Because the size chart is so wrong, it looks like it will only get used for skiing (hat underneath makes it fit properly).

My head is 59cm, which makes it hard for me to find helmets that fit well (M too small, L is too large and bulky). The L/XL here is HUGE. Even with the largest pad set (1/2" pads), it wasn't close to fitting properly.

Nice Bucket.

I have been riding with this all season and I am a fan. Adds more protection and looks pretty mean.

Head first into a tree.

Yeah it's light, yeah it looks cool, yeah it's comfortable, but does it protect you? None of the rest of it matters.Yesterday coming down Big Water in Mill Creek Canyon I ended up head first into a tree. Didn't even knock me out. This helmet ROCKS!

Great value!

I am super impressed with this lid. It is remarkably lightweight like a XC helmet. I'm not aware of any other skate style mtb lid that is this light. It's almost more low profile than most other ones. The fit is perfect and I barely even realize I have a helmet on! Definitely worth $50.

Great lid

Perfect "transition" from skate to mtn. Works great, well ventilated, much lighter than other skate inspired helmets.

Get this

Great lid for those of us that just can't handle the teardrop look. Very light, well ventilated, and keeps to the bmx roots. Weighs about half as much as my Bell Faction.

is this helmet snell approved?

I would guess no, as the other helmets on fox's website all say which testing standards the helmet meets, and it doesn't say anything for this one. I could be wrong but that's my best guess.
