Don't worry though, we have a lot more 27.5-inch Suspension Forks in stock than that.

Another success.

We were pretty impressed with FOX Racing Shox's 2015 and 2016 models of the 36 Float, which is why we're pleased to be giving yet another glowing report for the 2017 36 Float 27.5 160 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Boost Fork. We're all for innovation and change, but we don't just blindly accept "new" as being "better", and neither should you. In the case of the 36 Float, however, each new model year continues to deliver a better design, with FOX showing admirable restraint by retaining design features that work too well to be modified while introducing slight tweaks to areas that need it. That's a strategy we can wholeheartedly get excited about.

In 2017, the biggest story about the 36 Float is that it's received Boost spacing. Last year, Boost was just starting to make ripples across the industry when FOX was working on the 2016 line, so the 36 Float was left conservatively Boost-free. Now, Boost has made its way into the rest of the Float lineup, so you and your burly all-mountain machine can benefit from the increased stiffness and responsiveness of Boost spacing when barreling over boulder-lined stretches of trail and taking chances on big sends. The steerer, crown, stanchions, lowers, and Float Air spring are all unchanged from last year's models, with the chassis still benefitting from previous years' enviable balance of stiffness and low weight.

The FIT4 damper also makes a triumphant return, allowing you to switch between Firm, Medium, and Open settings to access the fork's entire range of capabilities. Boasting a significant improvement in versatility over FOX's CTD system, FIT4 shows it's here to stay. Open is the big star with 22 adjustable sub settings to allow you to use all six inches of the fork's hit-swallowing plushness, small-bump compliance, and ability to react to successively rugged terrain quickly and decisively.

For the times there's no way around taking your rig up a long climb, the 36 Float's firm lockout will feel like a gift from above, allowing you to pedal smoothly uphill or on fire roads without feeling bogged down by cush where you don't want it. If you can't help but make small amendments to your suspension to achieve the exact behavior you want from a fork, FOX also makes internal spacers that will allow you to spend an afternoon in the garage customizing the spring's compression curve for a harder ramp-up.
