Lively handling for 29ers.

Equipped with a 51mm offset, the 2017 FOX Racing 32 Float 29 120 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Fork (51mm Rake) gives your 29er the snappy handling usually reserved for smaller 26 inch trail bikes. This is achieved by adding a bit of rake (around 5mm over traditional 46mm forks), which decreases the bike's trail and results in less "dead" space between the steering axis and hub. Ultimately, this remedies the sloppy steering and wheel flop associated with relatively slack head angles and larger wheels, especially on steep climbs and technical XC courses.

Balancing the needs of cross-country riders and trail enthusiasts, the 32 Float features 120mm of travel for a plush feel across widely varying trails, all without sacrificing speed or feeling unwieldy across tight switchbacks. The Float air spring is lightweight and provides excellent small-bump compliance. Its progressiveness can be adjusted with the addition of air volume spacers (sold separately), giving riders the ability to customize its feel across varying disciplines and terrain types.

Carrying over the revised FIT4 damper found on 2016 models, the latest 32 Float offers 3-position adjustability, with the ability to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm settings on-the-fly. When it's fully open, the Fit4 damper gives riders 22 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment for fine-tuning its feel to the terrain at hand. Slightly revised for 2017, the FIT4 damper is tuned for improved sensitivity without sacrificing overall support.

Foxin' Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This fork… holy cow. It belongs on every mid travel bike. I know, I know, blanket statement, but I think the fork is THAT good. I used to be nervous of square edges, rock gardens, roots, ruts, and plain old crap, this thing just soaks it up. “Confidence inspiring” doesn’t do it justice.

This fork tracks where I want it to go, doesn’t feel like dead weight, and is supple. I truly feel that at every moment, this fork is setting me up to literally overcome my obstacle.

It's also so light for how capable it is! Performance/weight ratio is spot on with this guy, it doesn't mind big climbs.

With the new FIT4 damper, this fork has truly useful Compression modes and is simple an intuitive to adjust and tune. Unless you really like to geek out on suspension (I’m guilty!) the LSC, Rebound, and Air Volume adjustments are all you’ll need and are super easy to get dialed in.

And yes, I’ve ridden on a Pike. And yes I’d take the Fox. Every time.

Building a new bike? Upgrading the current whip? Give me a shout and I’ll make sure you get the perfect build.

Even if you’re not ready to pull the trigger, reach out if you have questions like:
- What do all the knobs and dials do?
- How do I set my suspension for me?
- Which fork is right for my bike?
