Fast and adaptable.

The FOX Racing Shox 32 Float 29 100 iCTD FIT Fork brings all of FOX's best innovations and technologies into the new year with a few new bits of tech upgrades to keep things fresh and keep you mashing across a range of terrain and gradients. If you're looking for pure speed in a cross-country fork, this'll be your starting line.

The iCDT system is FOX's newest, expanded iteration of D. The CTD part is still the same three setting Climb/Trail/Descend system that you know and love, and the additional "i" is for intelligent. The difference between iCD and iCTD is, obviously, the addition of a Trail mode to the Climb and Descend modes. The T means that iCTD accommodates all types of riding, though it is inherently limited by its low travel..

The other benefits of iCD carry over. An electronic system requires far less force than a mechanical, and it's also a much shorter throw to engage the switch. It's also faster, with mode changes clocking in at a claimed half-second. For power, FOX takes a rechargeable lithium ion page from Shimano's Di2 book with a battery that mounts at the cages or in the steering tube, a feature that keeps your setup clean.

The fork's relatively low 100 millimeter travel is geared toward cross-country riding, and it nets a steeper steering tube angle that recommends the fork for fast trails. It also lets you lay down the power on climbs while easily maintaining your line. The 32-millimeter stanchions are at the thin end of FOX's offerings, but the low travel of the fork negates any stiffness penalties while also minimizing the fork's weight.

Like its predecessors, this fork uses FIT (FOX Isolated Technology) to keep the damping fluid sealed off in a bladder to prevent contamination, which improves the consistency of the damper on long descents. The 32 Float also features an updated Kashima coating on the stanchions, with changes to the base anodizing and the addition of a lower-friction lube that both diminish the effect of friction. The Kashima itself is still as durable as ever, and provides its own contribution to the suspension's action.

The 2015 FOX Racing Shox 32 Float 29 100 iCTD FIT Fork accommodates a 29-inch wheel, has a 1.5-inch tapered steerer tube, a 15mm QR compatibility, and is available in the color Black.
