Has some Issues
When I first got these shorts I loved em. Good pockets, comfortable, appropriatly sized somewhere between XC shorts and baggy downhill shorts. I wore them for everything, my new goto pair. The first issue I noticed is the zipper doesnt stay up while riding, not a big deal if you wear the chamois or something else under them but just beware when you get done riding you may want to check yourself before heading to a public place as the barn doors will be wide open. My second issue which I noticed this weekend during a ride is one of the two buttons on the waist has come completely off, leaving me with only one snap button to keep them on. Dont know if its a quality issue or not since I have worn these things pretty much every weekend since I got them plus a full 24hr race as well. Either way just thought I would share my experience.
The inner chamois is kick ass, I'm glad it's separate. The shorts are a little on the short side, but work fine. Hey when u ride with spandex wearers u fit in. If not, u might look out of place showing off a little upper leg.
Good shorts. Pockets are nice, one is zippered the other is velcro. Length is a little shorter then I was expecting but still good. Quality seems good. Only thing I've noticed is they aren't as loose fitting on my legs which is probably good so I wont get caught on the seat or something. Good buy.
Good Baggy Riding Shorts
I grabbed a pair of these on Chainlove and they're my new favorite baggies. I like the pockets, look (they look a lot better in the restaurant for a post-ride meal than my older ones), and they fit good. I usually wear a 32 or 33 in pants and got the 34 and they fit nice with the adjustment straps pulled in a bit.
A few minor drawbacks though. They make a shooshing noise as I pedal, but it's not as bad as George Costanza's suit and you can't really hear it over the sounds of riding. The chamois leaves a little to be desired, it's not as comfy as my Sugois and doesn't quite offer full 'coverage' of everything. But it's still good for a few hours in the saddle. Also, not sure why HnR lists the chamois as "detachable" because it isn't attachable in the first place, "separate" would a better word. But I do like that I can take off the liner afterwards and keep wearing the shorts in comfort.
Overall I'm really happy with them and would definitely recommend grabbing a pair, especially if you get em cheap on Chainlove.
What's the difference between the Fox...
What's the difference between the Fox Ranger and the Fox Ranger Sport shorts? Is it just the inseam? Thanks.
These are great shorts, ordered a different brand from HucknRoll that were defective, had a cut in the fabric, returned them but no longer had my size, so went with these, they fit great! whatever your jean size is, go up one size, very comfortable, nice looking, and not such a long inseam for us vertically challenged individuals! HucknRoll is a great company to do business with, great communication, no hassle returns, and superfast shipping! You've got my business!
I'm a happy owner of the graphite ones. At 6'5", 215 lbs, I'm normally a size 34. The shorts were rather tight at that size, the liner I couldn't even get much further than my knees. So I jumped up to a size 36. These shorts are outstanding. The material is very durable, yet light-weight and fast-drying. The removable liner allows you to wear these shorts pretty much anywhere. The pockets can hold the necessities and close well. The liner is very comfortable also.
