Fox Racing Ranger Cargo Print Shorts - Men's $89.95
Style + performance.
It can be tough to make a piece of performance clothing stylish enough that it looks good in everyday, casual life. The designers at Fox Racing seem to have no problem with it, though. Fox Racing's Ranger Cargo Print Shorts are made with a removable liner and two-way stretch fabric to make them comfortable while you're hammering singletrack. To look at them, though, you'd think they were just stylish casual shorts.
The Ranger Cargo Print Short is well-equipped. Quick-dry polyester construction ensures cool, dry comfort, even on all-day epics, and 2-way stretch eliminates binding for an unlimited range of motion. The removable liner makes the Ranger as comfortable as spandex tights, but it can be worn in public. The other benefit of the removable liner is that you can use it with your other shorts or with softshell baggie pants for winter riding. In a way, that makes the Ranger one of the most versatile shorts on the market.
Ranger Cargo Short is also loaded with pocket space. One of the large
thigh pockets is zippered so you don't lose your keys or whatever else
you can't afford to drop. A specialized media pocket with audio
interface takes care of your MP3 player, and a large thigh cargo pocket
with hook-and-loop flap adds more valuable storage.
Fox Racing Ranger Cargo Print Shorts come in Blue plaid, Charcoal Plaid, and Black Camo and are available in even sizes 32 through 40.

Nice, but worth $90?
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I purchased these as I'd heard some good things about them. After trying them, I found the liner to be a little uncomfortable in the 'man' area as well as making lots of 'stretching at the seems' noises when I first put them on (and yes, they do fit me properly ;).
I'm yet to find out exactly what or where the heck the 'specialised media pocket' is. If any one finds it, please let me know!
