Trail legacy.

When Fox Racing first introduced the Flux Helmet, it was one of the few trail-specific helmets available. This year—its 10th birthday—the Flux is joined by plenty of formidable competition, but it still holds its own as a lightweight, affordable player in the trail market. The 2016 version now boasts an all-new dial-actuated retention system for an even more customizable fit.

The most notable feature of the Flux is probably its extensive rear coverage, which provides valuable protection to the vulnerable areas on the back and sides of the head. The Flux's lightweight EPS foam protection stays the same from past years, with Fox adding 17 strategically-shaped vents to usher air in and out of the helmet to keep you cool-headed on the trails or during park sessions.

  • Protect your head muscle in park-appropriate style
  • In-mold shell better absorbs and dissipates impact
  • Extended protection because ramps and rocks are both really hard
  • Generous ventilation for days you're climbing to earn your runs

Perfect for just about everything

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is an awesome helmet for everything except for the steepest of downhill, i don't like to use a full face unless i have to and this has been my go to helmet for a while now

Saved my friends brain

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently bought this helmet and didn't think I was was going to keep it... My friend, who bikes quite often (everyday for the most part) found it in my house. He wore it twice before he took a big hit on it at the local bike park. He was defiantly concussed, the helmet itself isn't broken but i don't think he'll wear it again seeing as it compromised its integrity. Its a great helmet fit is spot on and he said it didn't move when he "jackknifed' on the landing.. great buy, great fit, didn't feel like anything was on his head. A must have.

My helmet of choice for the last 5 years

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing Flux helmets on trails for a few years now, and have had no reason to change. Comfortable, lightweight and plenty of ventilation. Humidity is a killer where I live, so this helmet is perfect.

I am with you garth...I am on my third and still love it. I have checked out many more expensive lids and i find this to fit better on my melon that most anything. Not the lightest but light enough that i never really notice it.

Feel the Flux and Flow

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have ridden with the Fox Flux for a solid five years. Luckily I have only gone through two helmets in that time. The 17 vents offer ample ventilation for riding in the desert or those hot summer days in the mountains. The visor is a little flimsy compared to other helmets but it is easily replaced if broken. I am interested to see how the new dial fit retention system compares to the old Detox system (I will report back on this later). I would highly recommend this to any mountain biker looking for a reasonably priced, lightweight helmet that can do it all.

Feel free to shoot me any questions about the Flux or any other bike helmets.
