Fi'zi:k Vitesse HP Women's Saddle $119.95
Built for your female physique.
The Fizik Vitesse HP Wingflex Women's saddle is neither too stiff nor too soft. Based on the feedback we get, it's perhaps just right. The carbon reinforced nylon shell gives in the right places. It's not freakishly light, but it's not heavy either. The top is pretty flat, though with regular riding, the center section will mold a bit to your natural shape.
The built-in Wingflex is another way that the Vitesse HP Saddle conforms to your rear end by simply riding it. The wings, or sides, of the saddle have a shell that isn't entirely solid but has teeth cut out. Think of a comb from the side view. These teeth are isolated under layers of clear polymer. Think clear tape. As you use the saddle, these little teeth flex and flex and eventually break off from the stiff part of the shell but stay in place thanks to the polymer. The saddle will flex just where you need it to give, and that makes for nice custom fit.
The Fizik Vitesse HP Wingflex Women's Saddle is 270mm long and 150mm at its widest point. It's available in Black or Pink. The K:ium rails are a high-end steel alloy that is 8% lighter than titanium and equal in strength. The rails are marked with numeric and line gradations for more accurate adjusting of the saddle. The underside of the tail of the saddle has Fizik's Integrated Clip System (ICS), so any Fizik ICS saddle bag will fit without straps. 249g.

Not a good MTB saddle as hoped
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this saddle for my MTB. Unfortunately, the slits in the sides have pinched me on several occasions, ouch, this doesn't help for comfort on long rides. The saddle is too firm to offer a comfortable MTB ride. I have had a professional bike fit, all to no avail. It is painful on the soft lady parts, after only 12 miles. Between this and the pinching that has occurred with the side slits that are made to "flex", (something I have never noticed), this is going back. Maybe good for a road bike? Not sure. I love my Specialized road bike saddle and will most likely look at their line as an option for my MTB.
Best female saddle ever!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Cant live without my vitesse! I have tried all sorts of women's saddles, including a recent stint on a specialized women's saddle and nothing holds a candle to the vitesse! Comfortable and sleek I have been riding on this saddle for the better part of ten years! Great last power too! This is the first new one I have had to buy since my original purchase 10 years ago!
Does this saddle have any sort of relief...
Does this saddle have any sort of relief channel or indentation?
No, this one does not - but any of the Fizik saddles with the "K:IUM" in the description will have the center channel cut out that I think you are inquiring about.
would this be a good saddle for mtb cross...
would this be a good saddle for mtb cross country?
It could be used for XC riding, but it is primarily designed as a road saddle. Many people use road saddles for mountain biking, but they may not be built quite as sturdily in the case a big hit like casing a jump.
I initially had this brand about 13 yrs ago and found it very comfortable but switched to a Terry saddle (limited edition print) that was as comfortable and matched the color of my bike perfectly. Once it wore out, I searched for another saddle with a color other than basic black and found the Fi'zi:k Vitesse, Miss Berlin. I love this saddle, it's comfortable, and I didn't need a "breaking in" period. I use it for racing as well as longer group rides, and always get comments on the pattern "Miss Berlin".
So far so good
Before i went ahead to purchase the Fizik Vitesse HP, i was worried because of the mixed reviews i've read from various website. At the end, i figured it would be better than my old saddle no matter what, I am very delighted that i made the decision. I've been using it for over 3 months now and my rides vary from 11-mile commute route to 60-mile hilly ride, all I can say is i'm quite satisfied with it. It's reasonable weight, well-made, and comes in multiple colors (realcyclist only have 2, but i believe there are a couple more on the web)

Fi'zi:k Women's Vitesse HP Road Saddle
The women's Fizik Vitesse HP Road Saddle is certainly an improvement over many men's and unisex saddles. I initially felt pretty comfortable, and that more of my weight was being supported by my sit bones. While I had reduced what the ladies may call "soft tissue pressure", I was fairly uncomfortable after 10 miles and experienced numbness somewhere around 15 to 20 miles. While I've found that an even wider saddle with a cut out to be more comfortable for me personally, I think this saddle is a good choice for some women. (I also recommend the WTB Deva.) This saddle seems to be well made and is a reasonable weight. I'm not convinced the slots on the seat edge do much in terms of flexing and preventing chafing, but they can't hurt!
