Slither in comfort.

Designed primarily for cross-country riders, the Tundra M5 features a long (290mm) and narrow (125mm) shape that allows you to position yourself to take on whatever the terrain throws at you. According to Fi'zi:k's Spine Concept Fit system, as a snake, you are able to minimize pressure to soft tissue areas by keeping your weight on your sit bones. Because of your flexibility, the Tundra does not feature a cut-out channel.

The shell is composed of a nylon thermoplastic composite that sandwiches a layer of foam. This provides stiffness necessary to support sit bones, while also allowing flex at the edges to reduce chafing. Fi'zi"k's Wingflex technology, which allows the sides of the saddle to move with your legs while keeping the top rigid, means that you'll transfer all your power to the pedals not to the saddle. These technologies combine for optimized stiffness-to-weight construction. The entire length of the Tundra is covered in Microtex fabric.

The Tundra M5 was constructed with rails made from a strong and lightweight alloy material known as Manganese. Not quite as light as its K:ium, the Manganese rails still have a solid strength-to-weight ratio and dampen trail vibrations incredibly well.

The Fi'zi:k Tundra M5 Saddle is available in one size and the color Black/red.

Fantastic XC Perch!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Of all of the saddles I have ridden on the mountain bike, this is certainly up there with the best. The perch at the back is just wide enough to accommodate mid-wide sit bones, and yet perfectly narrow to allow maneuverability.

I have been doing some rather long rides aboard the Tundra, and have yet to have a bad day on it.

It is a relatively hard saddle with minimal padding, so it is not great for a beginner, but definitely worth a look if you have earned some durability with your posterior.

Great Race Saddle

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the first year I've used a Fizik saddle and I really enjoyed it. I have used it in everything from XC races that are an hour and a half to long exploring rides in the saddle for 50 miles (while this isn't ideal for this specific saddle it is versatile enough to provide comfort even on longer rides). I haven't had any problems or discomfort with it what so ever. It is a really flat and stiff saddle, which is what makes it a perfect for your XC racing machine.

Great look and Feel

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using Fizik saddles for three years now and although the colors and construction have changed, the same great shape has stayed the same. The flat and stiff design is not for everyone and might take a little time to get used to, but for me it is very comfy. It's not the lightest or softest saddle on the market but I would highly recommend trying it.
