Cross Country Grips

Fizik's Microtex handlebar tape is a favorite for wrapping our road handlebars. It's light and has just enough padding to ensure that you can have a comfortable grip at all times. And perhaps the best of all, it's really durable. In a nod to those of us who've used their Microtex tape to wrap the grip sections of our flat bars, Fizik makes these Cross Country Grips. Now we can skip the wrapping and just slide on these lockable grips to have that Microtex feel.


Fizik's Cross Country Grips have a few patent pending details that make them super cool. First and perhaps the best is that the grip covers are replaceable. The grip is built on a hard plastic sleeve that has a general egg shape. The round portion supports the palm and the elongated portion goes towards the front and feels perfectly natural inside the curve of your fingers. The grip covers slide on easily because the plastic sleeve has a "living hinge" that collapses, loosening the fit and allowing the grip cover to slide on or off. The cover is easily replaced, but it can't slip or twist on the inner sleeve because a special seam with a stitched in plastic reinforcement slides into a special channel in the front of the plastic sleeve, effectively holding the cover in place.


The Microtex covers are Grey/White with the grey portion being buffed for superb gription. A pair of all Black covers is also included. You'll find an aluminum split clamp at each end of the grip to lock them securely to your handlebars so that they won't ever twist, no matter how many creek crossings you dump your bike into.
