Fi'zi:k Ardea Saddle $0.00
We often talk about the way technology is developed and then released through manufacturers' top-end components first, before sifting down through more economical lines of products. With Fi'zi:k's Ardea Saddle, this is precisely the case. The Italian saddle maker's designs and materials that were once only available by way of shelling out a pretty penny have become available at a much more reasonable price.
The Ardea saddle was constructed at the same factory that produces Fi'zi:k's top-tier perches, using its Spine Concept design to mold the saddle into what it calls the 'Chameleon' family. This group of saddles was developed to accommodate cyclists who fall in the middle of Fi'zi:k's flexibility scale, which is a gauge of your spine's flexibility and the pressures that correlate with it. For the Chameleon collection, this means providing you with support directly under both the sit bones and genital area.
The Ardea was built with rails made from a strong and lightweight alloy material known as Manganese. Not quite as light as its K:ium, the Manganese rails still have a solid strength-to-weight ratio and dampen road vibrations incredibly well. The saddle's foam padding and nylon shell provide cushioning and support at the sit bones, with just the right amount of flex. Fi'zi:k's durable Microtex fabric was sewn over the top, giving you a smooth outer layer that's easy to clean. Additionally, the sides of the saddle were treated with a glossy, anti-friction scuff guard material to eliminate thigh chafing.
The Fi'zi:k Ardea Saddle is available in the colors Black and White.
