Five Ten Karver Women's Shoes $0.00
Crave some Karvers.
Five Ten hasn't forgotten about the gals that rip the trails. The Karver Women's Shoe is built on a distinct last that's designed to accommodate the feminine foot. Other than the shape and color, however, it's just like the guy's version. It's burly and ready to carve big lines down the mountainside.
The Karver has an asymmetrical cuff that has a regular low rise height on the outside of the ankle and a slightly higher 3/4 cut on the inside. This keeps you from tenderizing your ankle bone on the cranks or swingarm when you're bombing down ultra-rough trails. The bottom of the Karver is encased in Five Ten's dot-patterned Stealth Rubber. Developed for rock climbing shoes, it also has excellent material properties for flat-pedal mountain bike shoes. It's super sticky and super tough. Trust us, no matter how crazy your pedal pins are, the Stealth Rubber sole can handle it. And in our experience, Five Ten shoes with Stealth Rubber will outlast a regular gum rubber skate shoe many times over, not to mention how much easier it is to keep your feet on the pedals because of the stickiness of Stealth Rubber.
The upper of the Karver is made from Five Ten's Action Leather and blends the right amount of grey, white, and black. The pen and ink styled floral designs give it some added flair. A protective rubber toe cap helps keep your toes from getting smashed by rocks thrown up from the front wheel.
The Five Ten Karver Women's Shoes are available in half sizes from 5 - 10.

I've used these pretty much every ride-able day this year for AM and Park riding and no complaints. Rock climbing grip, all-around super tough shoes. Five Ten rocked it and thanks to backcountry I got them for a heck of a deal :D
grippy but uncomfortable
These shoes are super grippy and stick to my pedals as everyone promised they would. The only problem I have with them, is how uncomfortable they are. They look as though they should be super cushy on the inside, but I find the insoles to be extremely hard. I am hoping a pair of foam or gel inserts will remedy this and then I'll be ready to ride!

I bought these for my wife because she was complaining of foot slippage. She absolutely loves them and cant believe how much grip she now has when mountain biking.

I just got these, and have worn them twice so far. They are very durable, and my feet are very well protected. Great look, grip, and overall comfort!
These shoes are great. They stick very well to my flat pedals. Before I got these shoes I was using New Balances and there is a night and day difference. They aren't the cutest but it brings me back to junior high wearing those big old bulky osiris's.
A face only a mother could love.
I was very hesitant to buy these shoes, as they are a little less than adorable, but I'm really glad I did! They are perfect for hiking your bike up trails, and they stick like no other. The wrap around tongue makes them not the easiest to get on your feet, but once they're on forget about it! Five tens run about half a size big so if you're in between, go down. Buy em. Seriously.
These are the perfect trail shoe. Stick great to good flats - even on jumps! Second most important piece of mountain bike gear after the bike of course.
Is this the latest model? I have seen these...
Is this the latest model? I have seen these shoes with a bit of purple on them and i think they look a *little* bit nicer. But I'm not sure if the purple is a really old model, or really new and not in stock yet.
The purple version is an old model. The ash grey is the 2012 model, so I don't think any new colors will be coming out anytime soon.
Grippy little buggers
My Karvers took a few rides to get them to break in- I love that they are super grippy, so much that I have to sit on my seat and lift my feet up to readjust on the pedals. The first couple rides my outside of my feet became numb, but that was fixed by loosening the laces and after a couple rides the shoes stretched out a little so no more problems that way. I was going to maybe start clipping in this next season, but I'm such a believer in these shoes I have friends that are thinking of getting away from their clip-ins and going to Five Tens. The one gripe- only 1 shoes built for gals? Come on- we love to have different color options!!
These are awesome--I just wish they came with a shoe-horn or a loop in the heel for pulling them on with greater ease; they tend to fold over a bit and get stuck when I'm donning them. But that is a minor little thing for a seriously good shoe.
Makes you better without trying!
These shoes stick your feet to those pedals and don't let go. They are super comfy and have saved my legs from becoming complete pincushions. Great shoes!!
Great shoes - gave me a lot more confidence on the downhills
For the past 2 seasons I've been riding with combo pedals that allow me to clip in on the uphill and ride flat pedaled on the downhill. They've been great despite the learning curve I experienced when getting used to riding clipless pedals.
That being said, I wanted to try flat pedals for lift access downhill and was pleasantly surprised. The Five Ten Karver shoes combined with Crank Brothers 50 50 pedals was amazing! They were super grippy and I felt totally safe (wasn't worried about a pedal to the shin) and had the added comfort of knowing that I could put my foot down if I hit a turn too hard. They have increased my confidence on downhill rides and I highly recommend these shoes!
I would not have a bad thing to say about these shoes except that I like the new color way better and I have the original releases. I use mine for DH mostly (with Twenty6 pedals, which are the best) but also use them for commuting with Sun Ringle platforms for in town. They are really water resistant and great in mud and rain. Clean up really nice. Good to hike in if not a little stiff at first. Finally a shoe for us ladies.
Oh hell yea!
Just got mine yesterday and took them out for a test pedal...all I can say is holy sh*t they are soooo sticky and grippy...I will never go back to riding in my Vans again. Totally worth the bucks! As for fit they are pretty comfy and I would say they fit pretty true to size, I am a 6.5 and that is what I got and they fit perfectly.
Nothing beats Five Ten Shoes
For years I wore skater shoes while riding cross country and downhill...Then I decided to try the five tens...This is my third pair and I swear I will never wear any other type of shoe when riding. They stick to the pedal amazing well - its like having clipless without having clipless...They are comfortable for an all day ride, and they are stylish. I also use them for hiking when I know we'll be doing a lot of granite climbing as they stick so well - there are times when I climb strait up a rock mountain without a single problem and my friends are all slipping and sliding and barely making it to the top...I actually feel sad for them. By far these shoes rock. I wear a size 10 and I got a size 10 and they fit perfect. Note: they don't wear down fast at all, unless you use them as everyday shoes then they can wear within a year. But if only used for riding - they last a very long time!
Grippy on Straitline Pedals
Purchased these shoes and tried them out on Jeff Lenosky pedals! What a great combination! The shoes are a little stiff at first, but were comfortable after a few rides with them. Awesome padding on the crank side of the shoe. True to size -- I'm a 6.5 to 7.0, but got the 6.5 and was glad I did. The 7.0 would be a little loose.
Went from clip less to these and am so thankful for it. I can easily pop off my foot when I want to, but they stay on the pedal when I needed to.
Pleased with the Karver
This is my first summer riding singletrack and coming from the road I went right to clip-ins when I bought my bike. Big mistake! At slow speeds I would always tip over and struggled to get up-clipped in time. I read that these shoes are great and I agree!!! I bought a set of crank brothers 5050 pedals to go along with just as a starter set up. After riding multiple times, I am very pleased with these shoes. They stick very well and I can put my foot down when I need to. The best of both worlds!
love these shoes but I found them to be a bit small. Normally I am a 9 but returned for a 9.5. Sticky! 'nuff said!
I love these shoes. I went back and forth on whether or not to convert to a clipless set up and decided to give these a try. Paired with my slim jim pedals with pegs, they are near perfect. They are super sticky and feel like a clipless but better because I can stick my foot out if I need to on technical terrain. I highly recommend these for girls who ride tough terrain or down hill. Leave the clipless set up for road riders!
I rode these in whistler in the DH park. They were the most comfortable and grippiest shoe I've tried...almost too grippy.... very close to being in clipless. I was using crankbros pedals and I found if I didn't set my foot down exactly perfect, it was a challenge to adjust because you literally had to lift your foot off and readjust...the last thing you want to think about. But once you were in, your feet never leave the pedal. Glad I have them!
