Why We Like The Five Ten Impact Pro Mid Cycling Shoe
From railing down black diamonds to hitting the jump lines with the buds, when we are riding aggressively, we need mountain bike-specific shoes that protect our feet. The Five Ten Impact Pro Mid Cycling Shoe is one of our top choices when we need a protective mountain bike shoe that has all the necessary features. Complete with a mid-top design, D3O impact protection, Five Ten's trusted rubber outsole, and a simple lace closure; the Impact Pro is ready for full-gas downhill riding. A mid-top design gives a little more support and includes inside ankle protection. An impact-resistant, reinforced toe box protects our feet from rock strikes, and a compression-molded PU midsole absorbs energy from hard landings. The synthetic upper is super durable, quick-drying, and abrasion-resistant, and a lace closure ensures we get the perfect fit every time. To stay locked into the pedals, Five Ten used their signature Stealth S1 Dotty rubber outsole to provide us an excellent grip both on and off the bike, and the durable rubber compound stands up to the wear and tear of metal pedal pins. Finally, a stiff shank gives us the support we need and aids in power transfer to the pedals.

Love these shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these pro impact shoes! I appreciate the high top support as well. And of course you have to love these grippy soles. I highly recommend them!

Five ten are the only sneakers I'll wear.
Best sneakers out there hands down and the only things I've been wearing for 6 years

Great for cycling, not so comfy for walking.
Very tight around the ankles at first, started thinking I should've ordered a half-size up but they're much comfier after breaking in. Leave the ankle laces a little loose so your ankles can still move, don't tighten them too much. These are definitely shoes for cycling and not so much walking around, actually protected one of my ankles in a crash already too.

My favorite mid-top mountain bike shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They fit just like my 510 Freeriders. Wanted more protection for the trails. After riding a few hours at a bike park, we were walking and I realized I hadn't thought of my feet at all. That's probably the best thing I can ever say about protective gear: that I forget it's on.

Super stiff all over, gave me blisters
I wore these for just a few hours and the ankle coverings started to give me blisters because of how stiff they were. The shoes are also very difficult to put on with a narrow opening. I had to unlace the top loop just to be able to put my foot in the shoe. Once inside there's room. My low top canvas Fives are really great but not these high tops.

Stoked on the sweet kicks!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these boots mostly for trail building. The smooth but sticky soles keep me in place but do not tear up the trails. the mid height give great ankle support but still allows me to shape jumps and berms!

Virtually un usable unless I like claw toes.
Just a heads up, 13s are like an 11.5 in real life. I always wear 13s, sometimes 12s. I heard the impact pro mids might run small but they didn't have 14s last year when I ordered. So I bought the 13s and found out how tight they are unfortunatley. It's too bad for me because the shoes seem good quality. I wish addidas would make these in larger sizes. I'm under the impression they don't even make them anymore.

not practical beyond 5 minutes on carpet.
look is super nice but they are not comfortable, they are stiff as a tire. I have two other low cut 5/10's green suede and grey canvas which are comfortable, but these as someone else said are "built like a tank" I returned them.
