Diddie Schneider has put in his time building some of the most progressive trails to date. The Five Ten Diddie Schneider Shoes acknowledges his efforts while providing you with shoes that can handle the rigors of trekking to remote locations and building your own advanced trails. With Diddie behind the design helm for these shoes, it's no wonder that it has all of the technical features that we've been conjuring in our heads for years. From the toecap design to the burly shoelace cover, these are a reflection of dreaming up the perfect shoe while building some of the best mountain bike tracks in the world.

Every part of these shoes serve a purpose, both aesthetically and functionally. You may not mind wet feet for a couple of hours during a drizzle, but when you are out all day, you'll thank the Nubuck leather uppers that repel water and stains. The cut-resistant Raptor Tongue lace cover keep your shoes from catching on trail hazards and tools, and they certainly won't rip to shreds when you take a spill through a rock garden. The low-profile toecap fits easily into pedal cages without feeling like you're trying to jam your feet into a tiny shoe. On the soles of the shoes, Five Ten utilizes its proprietary, grip-like-crazy Stealth rubber for trail and pedal traction. At the shoe's sides and toecap, where wear and tear quickly occur, you'll also find an encasing of stealth rubber to slow down the degeneration process.

The Five Ten Diddie Schneider Shoes are available in the color Moss and in US whole and half sizes from 7.0 to 14.0.

Here's what others have to say...

Do you have this shoe in a size 12? Thanks.

Hey Patrick,

Unfortunately we do not have a size 12 available in this shoe.

Great Flat Pedal MTB shoes

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I had these shoes for 2 years, rode them hard and they lasted. Still have them, they are still in good shape. I love the steel toe! They stay on the cleated pedal and feel great on those long rides. The size is true, no different than your normal size. The material has held up through the many biking beatings I put them through and hosed off after the muddy day of riding. I really like these shoes and would recommend them.

Great bad weather shoes!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I bought these shoes to for winter mountain biking to replace my current winter shoes (Five Ten Freeriders a size large with extra socks and a bread bag). I haven't had a chance to ride them in the winter yet, but I've ridden them in the rain a few times and love them! They are stiffer than my regular Freerider VXi which gives them great power transfer. The traction on pedals is as good as an other Five Ten I've used and I think they will be better in the snow than a regular Five Ten. They are warm and relatively heavy, but it's worth it to have dry feet on a cold day! I was a little worried that the "steel" toe (it doesn't appear to actually be steel) would be overkill, but I don't notice it at all. I'm very happy with them!

Awesome Trail building shoes!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

Five Ten's attention to detail did not go unnoticed the first time I tried them on! From the protective lace cover that is held in place with a snap and heavy duty velcro, to the hard safety toe cap, to the elastic that holds your laces in place so you can get the cover closed easier. These shoes are excellent for their intended use: TRAIL BUILDING, not riding. Very comfortable and durable. I have spent 16 hours swinging a pick, shoveling, hauling rocks, etc in them and no visible damage to date. Great ankle support for working in unstable conditions. The traction is very good as well, but my only minor complaint is that the tread pattern easily fills full of dirt and the Stealth compound cannot be taken full advantage of. As for riding, I did use them to ride my bike into our build location and even though they are not set up for clipless, I rode in on clipless pedals and they gripped well (I was in a hurry and could not change to my flat pedals). However, I would not recommend doing this if riding with speed or on technical trails.

Do these run small

According to the Backcountry online rep, they run 1/2 size small. I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal. I'll post how they fit when I receive them.

Different than expected

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

I loved the way these looked online especially with the Velcro flap to cover the laces. Sadly once I received them I realized they were far from what I wanted. They're heavy and have a "steel toe" like cap inside them. The description says "protective toe cap" but looking at the picture you'd assume it meant the black visible part on the front. I never tried them on so I don't have any info on fit. The details say they're a trail building shoe. I rate them high for that but not as a riding shoe.

Great at the discount price

So at 58% these are a great deal. The insole needed more support. The laces with the velcro didn't make sense. The toe box is smaller then the new impacts which I love. But with the new wool super feet and a set of quick laces they are the perfect shoe for the muc. So in the end I was into them around $110 bucks.

They have a certain silly feel to the look. I think Robtech when I look at them. :)
