Velo Hinge

Space is valuable, and hardware-store hooks not only suffer from utilitarian appearance, they force bicycles perpendicular to the wall. The Velo Hinge from Feedback Sports, on the other hand, allows the hook to pivot, so bicycles take up less floor space.

Just as appealing as compact storage, these quality powder-coated steel hooks collapse and are hidden when not in use -- which means a clean aesthetic that's suitable for studios or apartments. The Velo Hinge comes assembled for left sided pivoting, but can be switched for use to the right. Feedback Sports rates the Velo Hinge at 50 pounds, so everything short of electric-assist bicycles can hang out.

The Feedback Sports Velo Hinge measures 7.25 x 3.5 x 0.63in folded.

Great solution for my garage wall

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The Velo Hinge was a great solution for hanging four bikes on the wall of my garage. The ability to swing the bikes to the side ensured that even though I had enough clearance between my cars and bikes when they are straight out from the wall, I now have plenty of space to walk between the cars and bike when at an angle to the wall. My kids have enough strength to pick the bike up the inch or two to reach the hook also since they just pull the bike up onto its rear tire, then can just lift it that short distance to get the front tire in the hook. The one annoyance is why the manufacturer doesnt just sell the hinge with the longer hook. I ended getting the longer hook for all four in my garage.. even though not all my bikes need it.. but I didnt want to worry about having the family remember which hook is which..
