Description

Stop bringing beer to those snobs at your local shop, keep that case of PBR and use the Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Stand to fix your own bike right at home.

Ride your new bike long enough and at some point you'll likely develop a curiosity for how to fix it. But if you've ever tried to repair or maintain your bike while it leans against a wall, you know how frustrating it can be. A reliable work stand is the foundation of any home repair station, and the Feedback Sports Sport-Mechanic Work Stand offers aspiring home mechanics a durable blend of function and value.

With a dependable tripod leg configuration that holds up to 65 pounds, the Sport-Mechanic Work Stand remains stable on flat or uneven surfaces thanks to grip-enhancing two-point contact rubber foot caps and has an adjustable work height of 42 to 65 inches. The Feedback Sports Sport-Mechanic Work Stand features a durable spinner-knob clamp that securely holds the bike in position. Feedback Sports integrated a clutch into the assembly that allows for 360 degree rotation without re-adjusting the bike. It also folds down easily into a compact unit weighing only 12.6 pounds. Stash it in a closet, in the corner of your garage, or even in the trunk of your car for race days and group rides -- it’s road-worthy and easy to set-up and tear-down without tools.

Here's what others have to say...

Does the job!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Used this stand out of the box for a rebuild of an old 10 speed. Performs perfectly! The quality is just as good as the higher end Feedback stands, just no rachet system to lock the bike in, but no worries.

Good Stand, Great Price

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift

It's lightweight, stable, and holds the bike in place for minor service i.e. tuneups and washing. Also, it folds up easily for storage.

Initial Impression - Not Impressed

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just bought one of these from my LBS, and I have to say that I'm not incredibly impressed given the high praises that Feedback stands get. When my bike is held in the clamp, rotating the cranks makes the bike kind of "shimmy". I don't feel like the bike is ever going to fall out of the clamp, so that's good, but the whole stand feels like the budget version of something better. The tubes are tightened into place with plastic, there's a bit of play in the jaws of the clamp until they are tightened down, and, like I said before, my bike shakes when I'm trying to turn the pedals. I can't help but feel that if you're spending $150 for a stand, you might just want to spend $30 more and get the Park Tool PCS-10 because the jaws can fit more types of tubing, have replaceable covers, and the whole thing is just beefier.

So, now that I'm done bashing this stand, I'd like to say that I don't think this is a piece of junk. You're probably much better off getting this than building something yourself or hanging your bike from the ceiling. Do I think this is the last stand I'll ever need? Definitely not, but I do see it lasting me a few years before I can afford something built like a tank.

Solid Value.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

There's just a lot of bang for your buck here for home mechanics looking for functionality on a budget. Very solid, easy to adjust clamp and holds your ride steady when you get to wrenching. Not a whole lot of bells and whistles, but it does the job admirably.

Solid stand

Used for the past 8 months for 2 bikes and have had no issue. Would recommend it.

Economical Option

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a great stand for the money. If I could have I would have bought the Pro due to the quick clamp, but this option works great for the money. Its always set up in my garage, and travels to all races and bike adventures with me.

i have a suspension seat post, will this...

i have a suspension seat post, will this work with it? I have an electric e bike that weighs about 64 lbs. is this the right unit to bu?
Thanks

Great stand!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had this stand for over 2 years or better and put it through the test from light road bikes to heavy downhill mountain bikes. All I have to say is this stand is truly a beast and worth every penny. I can tune and wrench and this thing for the most part will not tip or waver. Do yourself a favor if you are a shadetree bike mech and get this unit. I promise unless they have started using sub par construction you will be happy you bought it!

Solid Stand

If you are looking for a reasonably priced stand that can take some abuse this is it. The clamp isn't quite as nice as the higher end Park stands but it gets the job done. It also folds up easily for storage or travel.

What was I waiting for

Not sure why I waited so long to order this stand, makes working on my bike so much easier. Really like all the adjustment options and the fact that it completely folds up. Got a second one as a gift.

Why spend more?

Sure it isn't the lightest, no it doesn't have the most advanced clamping snaziness. But yeah, it still lives in my living room, set up and ready for work! Plenty of clamping power, good height adjustment, very stable. Even easy to adjust with the bike clamped up which is nice when you need a different angle. Add on an accessory work tray and you are good to go! Packs up relatively small and fits in the trunk no problem. You could spend a lot more, but if you are wrenching your own stuff and not trying to move as many bikes as fast as possible you don't need more than this.

B E E F Y

My wife just got me this for my b-day, it just landed on my porch. Super quick turnaround from huck n roll!

The stand is much higher quality than I expected. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is a solid stand that looks and works great. Very happy!

I've had the "Ultimate Bike Support" stand...

I've had the "Ultimate Bike Support" stand for 5-6 years and now need some replacement parts. The pair of gripping plates has lost their rubber cover and I don't want to grip aluminum to aluminum. Also the lower twist grip screw is stripped out and I need another one. Does anyone know where I can get these replacement parts?

Great work stand that has held up well and I hope to keep using it.

Sorry for the delay but you can order replacement parts right on the Feedback Sports site. www.feedbacksports.com Look under products>replacement parts. Should be easy from there.

Feedback Sports Bike Stand

Scott Pendleton hit right on the money with this stand. Its solid, holds any kind of bike at any angle, and in any conditions. It packs down relatively small compared to many other bike stands, which makes it ideal for traveling. It does not have the lever clamp mechanism which is my personal favorite, but the screw mechanism works just as well as long as you tighten it down. All in all, a great stand for the price!

FINALLY!!! NOT JUST MARKETING!

I am that guy who will pay someone to fix it once, but then has to learn himself (unless it is a "special tool" job). I believe in high quality tools, but am also on a blue collar budget. I picked up this stand on sale and half expected to get plastic and thin metal. What I got was very good quality and a little renewed faith. This stand will work for you if you want Snap-on quality at a Craftsman price.

Buy it...you won't be disappointed

Stand was sturdier than I originally thought. I prefer the three-legged tripod stand better than the two-legged Park Tool design. I've worked with both Park Tool and Feedback and I have a Feedback at home now. I was a little concerned about some of the plastic parts, but after receiving the stand, it has metal in all the places needed. I prefer the knob-adjusted rotation of of the clamp arm and the screw-in clamp at the end of the arm that holds the frame. I don't need to be concerned with the clamp arm marring my aluminum-framed road bike, but it also has the strength to hold a steel-framed downhill mountain bike firmly. Shipping was super quick as well. Ordered it on Saturday and it was on my doorstep on Wednesday!

Pictured is the stand plus the Flop Stop Handlebar Holder. This stand is legit! The clamp arm is meatier than I thought it was.

Great stand

This is my first stand and it's awesome. It's strong and well built.
