Great design. Durability questionable

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This would be the fourth EVOC bike bag purchased. The redesign of the integrated bike stand seems excellent. There is difficulty in sliding the fiberglass stays all the way down into the case. I am very much questioning the longevity of the case since the material seems lighter than the previous travel case. The zipper is less robust and does not zip it smoothly as my previous case, which my son is now using, nor the zippers on my wife’s case, which is the same generation. So, although the design is excellent, the price has increased, and the quality may be diminished. Time will tell.

Best option on the market

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've had a lot of bike bags and this is hands down the best I've used. I've traveled all over with road, gravel, xc, and enduro bikes and never had any issues packing everything in (the enduro bike to push the weight limits for airline fees). It's great to be able to break it down in a small size so you can fit the built bike and the bag in a rental car. I've also never had any issues with damage (knock on wood), which I can't say for other cases. It's much more secure than it looks and feels. I did see the negative review re: installing the struts. I did have a similar (well, not to that extent) frustration installing the struts. It does take a little work the first time but pretty smooth install beyond that. The key is just to make sure there's no slack and don't get caught up on the plastic base.

Defective / Poor workmanship

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Very disappointment regarding a recent purchase the Evoc Bike Travel Bag Pro. As an avid cyclist and a frequent traveler, I was excited to try out this product, which came highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my experience with this bike bag and it company, Evoc, has been far from satisfactory. There is a hard object embedded in the front of the bag, which seems to have a convex shape and can be felt as a raised area or bump. It maybe related clip fitting, perhaps, and it was trapped during manufacturing process. This product is defective due to issues with its workmanship. I reported this issue to Evoc and they decline to investigate even after I sent them photos and video. Their customer service regarding warranty matters appears to be lacking.

Great bag, easy to assemble & pack

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I'd no issues assembling the bag, and while the fiberglass rods were tight, with some english, you can slip them in place allowing for the structure to be upright. The bag held a 29" Large mountain bike and wheels with 2.4" tires with no issues. The internal straps held the bike in all the right places, and the base frame structure is well designed. It comes with multiple fitments you can use to adapt to your bike's hub/axle standard. Finally, the third wheel on the front is great when you're rolling it thru a parking lot, across the airport, etc. Traveling with those that did not have the third front wheel, it is way easier to roll the entire bike & bag, just remember to unclip the front wheel and put that in the side zipper pocket at the gate. I do recommend this bike bag.

Don’t waste your money

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I have a 2015 Evoc bike bag that has seen better days. I decided to buy a new bag an opted for the much more expensive Evoc pro. It was impossible to put the nylon struts into their channels. The channels were too tight and had bunches in them so the struts would not slip in easily. I worked on the bag for over an hour with out getting the struts in properly. Competitive Cyclist was very helpful and sent out a new pro bag quickly. Again it was impossible to get the struts into the proper position because of wrinkles in the channels that prevented the struts to seat properly. After another hour and a half I packed the bags and sent them back. Also, the pro bag is much thinner than my old one. It has very little padding to protect the bike in transit. The first one I received had a sag in the top of it. I am very disappointed that the pro bag is so badly made, is impossible to set up, and has very little protection. I will say that Competitive Cyclist was very helpful throughout my attempts to get a bag that was made correctly. They even offered to contact Evoc for me.
