You can with Evoc's Bike Travel Bag Pro, which is designed to safely and comfortable carry all types of road and mountain bikes when you're heading across the globe to ride. It has a sturdy molded plastic undercarriage complete with aluminum rails for extra stiffness and protection, and a tough nylon, polyester, and tarpaulin body that's been treated with PU to shed water.

Inside, a removable frame secures to your front fork and dropout, keeping your frame from moving and allowing for easy assembly when you're ready to ride. I allready buy this Evoc Pro bag, but for my tri bike (Trek Speed Concept 7.5 Model 2016) does not fit very well in the insede, and also I have to remove the fin adapter in the rear brake...My question is: If I buy the EVOC ROAD BIKE ALUMINUM STAND for keep my bike more secure and fit better this stand will fit in the Evoc bike travel bag Pro?????

Great case

Have used it only once so far for an international flight with the aluminum frame to hold my road bicycle frame in position. The straps are well positioned to add further stability but as another reviewer noted it's also a good precaution to have some additional bubble wrap to be sure of no rubbing between parts. In my case it's needed around the handlebars and frame. I had to follow the pictorial instructions carefully but they are easy. I also used the chain cover to stop the chain and derailleur fouling the bag. I'd recommend both the frame and cover if you are serous abou protecting your frame. There is a detachable wheel as well as two permanent ones to make pulling it around very easy. It can be put away in a little side pocket once ready for baggage handling. Am planning on using this a great deal more so hope I've made a good investment!

This bag holds your bike securely, about as good as any "soft case" will and probably as good as most hard cases. The pro version of this bag comes with aluminum support poles that reinforce the frame and help keep the bike even safer. It will hold almost any kind of bike, with the exception perhaps of certain road bikes with tall integrated seat posts. It holds a full 8" travel downhill bike with no issues. Keep an eye on the detachable wheel. It does help with rolling the bag around but it also can be detached fairly easily so could get lost during baggage handling. For road bikes be sure to bike the road bike adapter to hold the fork more securely. Made a successful round trip flight with no issues. Price is fair as well. The TSA will throw your valuable bike around like cheap cargo freight if it's in a cardboard box. Storing it in one of these travel case shows them "Hey, there might be something valuable in this fancy looking travel case."

Highly protective, especially considering that it's a soft case. It's also one of the easier-to-wrangle cases I've had the joy of toting through an airport. You'll get charged an oversize baggage or bicycle fee (depending on the airline, and the mood of the airline staff), but even stuffed with my bike (with padded wheel bags), empty water bottles, a tool bag, a couple pairs of shoes, helmet, and other random items, mine weighed in just a hair over 50lbs, which is well under most oversized weight limits and could easily go under the 50lb standard baggage cap.

It was super easy and fast to get my bike all packed up, especially with the step-by-step instructions Evoc included. Just take off the handlebars and strap everything together for a surprisingly secure and protected setup. The case comes with handy component-specific padding, but investing in some bubble wrap for additional protection is always a good call. I would definitely recommend an extra few layers around the fork legs and shifter closest to the fork - at least for my frame/handlebar, the shifter sat really close to the fork. I wrapped both pretty well on the first flight with this case, and the friction was thisclose to rubbing through three layers of bubble wrap. An extra couple of layers on subsequent trips worked perfectly though.

Technically you can leave the seatpost and seat in, but I keep tape on my post to mark height so I just took the seat/post out and wrapped it in bubble wrap. I left my derailleur attached, and made sure to shift it as far in as it would go and wrap it in bubble wrap to reduce chances of it getting squished. Since the wheel pockets are made to also accommodate mountain bike wheels, they're big enough that I was able put my road wheels in their wheel bags and easily fit them into their allocated spaces to add more layers of padding to the case.

Evoc smartly includes PVC braces that slot into the wheel pockets for extra structural support, and the framing makes for an overall solid piece of luggage once everything's all buttoned up. This came in extra handy on my last trip when the airline decided to turn my case on its side and stack a pile of heavy oversized items onto it. My bike and wheels somehow survived that unscathed. For that alone, this case gets all the stars.

I flew from Alaska to Boston then drove and rode around new england. I have a 2015 Kona Process with 650b wheels. Size medium. Tons of room in this bag after the bike. I do suggest not taking advantage of it or you will likely go over 50lbs and since it is over sized already your gonna get a double dinger at the check in. not sure the 3rd wheel is worth anything extra but the extra plastic that protects the disc breaks is awesome. I do remove my rear derailer and I wrap some things around my stanitons as the handle bars sit a little too close to them. I also am going to tie up loose chain slack as it slipped under my frame and scratched it a little. But seriously minor as I did not even have to adjust any of my cable tensions or anything.. rebuild and shred! Was awesome having my own bike instead of renting and having that trouble! Tip here be sure to get the "this side Up" sticker / Arrow stickers from the check in counter, I watched goofball bag handlers stack luggage top of my Evoc bag with bike in it after laying it on its side.. still all the same no harm done just my personal uncomfort at witnessing this. Now to travel more with my bike to justify the expense!!!! Shred on

A really good travel bag but could be made better if it came with a frame to secure the front and rear forks. I also found the detachable front wheel didn't function well. I would have preferred a fixed wheel on the front to compliment the rear wheels. I traveled to London and Scotland from the US and the bag performed well.

The bag packed my freeride mountain bike very well. However, the clip on front wheel design is not strong at all. It collapsed on my first trip from the curb to check-in. The plugs wear out immediately and the front wheel did not function at all. I would also prefer to have a fixed front wheel and for it to be bolted on.

I got the Evoc Bike Travel Bag Pro after my SBC Serfas Bike Case started falling apart — mostly from the abuse of TSA agents and aircraft bag handlers. I've been debating between hard case vs soft cases but ultimately decided on the soft case Evoc bike case for its features. The ones I really like are:



- Dedicated wheel storage compartments

- No need to remove the rear derailleur

- Plenty of straps and tie downs

- Sufficient padding

- Pocket for loose items

- Easy to carry and move around

- Can be stored in a more compact form



I really didn't like the feeling of having to "squash down" my wheels and frame in my previous hard shell bike case. Depending on how you positioned your handle bars, forks, and wheels, sometimes it would feel like you have to really compress things just for the case to close properly. The lack of internal straps meant that things could shift around unless you resorted to using a lot of zip ties.



The Evoc Bike Case makes packing the bike extremely convenient. For most bikes, you simply need to remove the wheels, pedals, and handlebars, then rest the bike on its bottom bracket onto a plastic block. The forks are wrapped in reinforced padding, then everything is tied down and secured with provided straps. Road bikes can use the included "road bike adapter", which is really just another rigid foam block to minimize play/movement of the forks while being transported.



There are dedicated compartments for wheels, and they support storing wheels without having to remove the rotors — there's some reinforced protection for rotors built into the flap. There are pockets you can store loose items such as pedals, skewers, bolts, and other necessities. Once the bike is packed, there's *plenty* of room to store other things, such as a helmet, pair of shoes, floor pump, and other bike tools.



Carrying and moving the bike case is easy, even with a fully loaded bag. There are a lot of straps around the bag for lifting. The two large wheels are sturdy, and there's a third clip-on wheel you can use to push/roll the case instead of pulling it. The wheels don't rotate, but this is only an issue if you're pushing the bike case from the wrong end instead of pulling it.



When the case isn't in use, you can remove the aluminum stabilizer rods so it folds down and packs fairly flat. This is a plus for me because of tight spaces.



I've taken this case to a number of trips now, including Seattle to Portland (STP) and RAGBRAI. The TSA screeners and bag handlers seem to like this type of case more because it's easier for them to inspect and transport. There's still plenty of padding for security, and the material seems to be tear- and puncture-resistant. Only time will tell to see how truly durable they are.



Some minor quibbles:



- Even though the wheel compartments have a "rotor protector" side, your rotors may still bend if something were stacked on top of the bag.

- The clip-on wheel is handy but only makes rolling the bag marginally easier. I find it's more maneuverable by pulling the bike bag. Also, the clip on wheel detaches fairly easily, so be sure to stow it away when YOU'RE not using it, because someone else won't know and it's easily lost.

- The Road Adapter pouch cannot be used with forks sporting disc brakes -- there isn't room for the brake caliper. This is not a problem because the built-in fork padding on the case is sufficient.

- The Lime green color gets dirty easily, especially when you consider that it'll be lumped with other "dirty luggage". It's easy enough to clean, but expect it to get dirty after a couple of uses.



I can't say enough good things about this bike case. It's made traveling with a bike so much less of an ordeal, before, during, AND after.

I don't know about its track record, but mine has survived domestic trips, namely STP and RAGBRAI. The TSA agents and bag handlers seem to deal with this type of bag better because of the straps and handles — it's much easier to lift, roll, and transport the case. The bike case will still get tossed around, but I'm wondering that it's slightly being lighter helps with it getting handled better.



The only flaw I saw was that one of my wheel's rotors were bent during transport, but it turned out to be my fault because I stored the wheel facing the wrong way — I didn't place the rotor-facing side on the "rotor protection" part of the flap.

Road Bike Aluminum Stand?

I see the biggest difference between the Evoc Pro bag and the regular Evoc Bike Bag is the solid base on the "Pro" version. Extra padding/reinforcement, metal front handle and 3rd wheel are other features not in the regular bag. My question: does the "Pro" bag also come with the Evoc "Aluminum Road Bike Stand"? Or, do you still need to buy this item separately if packing a road bike ($129.00)? I have a Trek Madone 6 Series with bottom bracket mounted rear brakes so I cannot have my bike supported at the BB area by the moveable "pad". I need to have the bike supported by the front and rear dropouts. The extra padding/reinforcement of the "Pro" bag seems a real bonus to me but it would be even better if the stand for road bike dropout mounting is included also. Is it? I can't tell, even on the Evoc website.

In my opinion, you'll need to get the Aluminum Stand for your frame. The Road Bike Adapter is just a reinforced block of padding to minimize play/movement of the forks when secured to the bike bag. It also doesn't work with forks sporting disc brake calipers.



The Evoc Bike Travel Bag Pro comes with a plastic block that's secured with velcro, but it won't help with your underside mounted brake calipers unfortunately, not without risking causing damage to the brakes. You may be able to fashion something else, because there's plenty of straps and velcro inside the case so you can secure your bike, so it's "floating" and not resting on the block, but that'd be something you'd have to personally test/inspect.

I highly suggest getting the road bike stand. It costs extra but is really worth it. It makes a nice stand for preparing the bike for packing.
