The '+' just means that they're awesome.

The e*thirteen LG1+ Pedals are designed to withstand the abuse that's dished out by the world's fastest downhill racers -- plain and simple. If you're reading this, odds are that you won't ever set foot atop a World Cup podium, but at least you'll know that your pedals will hold up to all of the pedal strikes and rock hits that you're able to dish out. And when you factor in customizable pins and replaceable wear plates, you know that these puppies will be there for you, ride after ride.

It took almost a decade for e*thirteen to release its platform pedal design. You read that right, and no, we're not joking. What that means for you is that the LG1+ went through countless revisions and unbelievable amounts of testing to ensure that everything from its composite construction to its self-lubricating IGUS bushings are able to withstand the roughest terrain and hardest riders. In addition to the large diameter steel spindles, the durability is ensured by replaceable polycarbonate wear plates that absorb impacts, rather than cracking like traditional metal pedal bodies. If you're skeptical, consider the fact that many of us have composite e*thirteen bash guards that are seasons old, and despite repeated hits, they keep coming back for more.

While durability was paramount in the design process, ensuring customization was a top concern. Accordingly, you're able to replace the composite wear plates with ones of different colors. And for a more substantive upgrade, e*thirteen provides replacement pin kits in a shorter 1mm for more freedom of movement, and a longer 7mm length for tenacious grip. However, the stock 4mm pins provide an ideal blend of freedom and traction for almost any rider, even in wet conditions and on rough trails. And for those whose riding focuses on tricks as much as trails, the degree of pedal rotation is adjustable from free spinning to moderate drag.

The e*thirteen LG1+ Pedals are available in one size and in the colors Black and White.
