Legendary Ergon-omics, now for roadies and 'crossers.

Ergon stepped into the saddle world by first developing the SM range of thrones specifically for mountain biking. The saddles were fantastic, and the company's rapidly-earned following asked for a range of road and 'cross saddles, too, so the SR series was born. The Ergon SRX3 Pro Saddle swaps out the carbon rails of the Pro Carbon version for TiNox alloy ones, adding a touch of weight but saving a good chunk of change at the same time.

Ergon constructed the SRX3 from a lightweight and flex-optimized carbon fiber shell. It was formed with three-dimensional pockets under the ischial tuberosity, or "sit bones," the shape designed using FEM mapping so that support and cushioning are optimized across the saddle in the areas you need them most to stay comfortable for hours on end without numbness or the squirming that many saddles induce. The shell flexes appropriately beneath the rider's weight, but still provides support so that your power is transferred into the pedals and not absorbed by an overly padded, bouncy saddle. Beneath the easy-to-clean Lorica covering is a high-density, multi-layered padding, strategically distributed to minimize pressure points while still absorbing shock from the road. Adding to the pressure relief, a central channel has been carved from the saddle's mid-section, and a nose-mounted micro-damper is flanked by full-length silicone coating along the saddle's sides to reduce friction and chafing.

The Ergon SRX3 Pro Saddle is available in one size, optimized for riders with sit bones spaced between 10 and 13 centimeters, and in the color Black/white. It weighs 220 grams and is 145mm wide.
