DH bars are getting taller and wider with no end in sight. Of course, with that extra width comes added leverage, so they have to be stronger than ever to make up for it. That means you have to bolt an anchor to your stem, right? Nope. The ENVE HDH handlebar is 810mm wide — more than enough to satisfy the tallest DH pro. Speaking of tall, how does 46mm of rise sound? And when the smoke clears, the HDH weighs an incredible 267 grams. That’s lighter than some of the XC bars that you’ll run into.
Carbon bars are lightweight and extremely tough. The quality that really sets them apart, however, is their ability to absorb vibration. Constant vibration, either from the road or the trail, causes numbness and fatigue. ENVE is setting a new standard for carbon fiber design. The HDH handlebar is a perfect example of how this relatively new company has changed the way that people think about carbon fiber. Strong enough for huge hits and giant drops, but still light enough for XC racers, the HDH is a whole new level of handlebar performance.
The HDH Bar was developed by riders for riders. Utilizing extensive feedback from the trail, the HDH design represents a perfect equilibrium between weight and strength. A mere 267 grams of impeccable carbon, the HDH Bar is light enough for big climbs, yet durable enough for catching big air. At the same time, the nearly-32-inch-bar stance provides flexible comfort in the dirt, and the nine-degree rearward sweep keeps your wrists in a relaxed, neutral position.
