Effetto Mariposa makes their Carbogrip Friction Spray to make the connections between your beautiful carbon fiber bike parts more secure. In the opposite sense, their Carbomove is designed to free stuck parts and/or remove residue from the Carbogrip when you disassemble or maintain your bike.
Carbon fiber is just like many other materials that we use for bike parts and has some susceptibility to corrosion. Specifically, carbon and aluminum, together, can create problems in worst case scenarios. Most structural joints between the two materials would have a fiberglass scrim as an insulator, and combined with the resin in the composite structure they eliminate any possibility of a corrosive occurrence. However, seat tubes are often reamed after the molding process. And depending on the quality of the process, the reaming might cut through the protective resin and expose the carbon in the layup. Then, in a daisy chain of worst-case-scenario events -- aluminum seatpost, ride on the trainer a lot, super sweaty, etc., you could experience a stuck post in your expensive carbon frame.
Effetto Mariposa Carbomove is a composite-friendly solvent that acts to break-free seized parts. It also removes excess Carbogrip residue after your installation is done. Simply spray some Carbomove onto a cloth and wipe away any smears or overspray. It's available in a 200ml aerosol spray.
