Description

Don’t drool on the keyboard.

Easton upped the gravity-friendly Havoc Wheel’s drool factor. A newly redesigned hub rolls with more drop-sending strength, while a wider rim gets the most fat out of your rubber. Easton didn’t stop there. The rim now boasts UST compatibility—and Easton did all this while cutting 150g off last year’s model.

  • UST-compatible rim does not require a rim strip
  • Proprietary acoustic wheel-truing method for insanely even spoke tension and an ultra-strong wheel
  • Sapim 2.0/1.8/2.0 double-butted, straight-pull spokes for strength and low weight
  • Threaded eyelet system uses an internal and external threaded nipple
  • Smooth spinning, long-lasting cartridge bearings for large maintenance intervals

Why are you showing pictures of both the old Havoc DH (which is not tubeless) and the newer Havoc UST?

Responded on

Hey Chris,

I'm not sure why that non-tubeless, previous generation of that wheel is shown in one of the pictures above, but the wheelset being offered on this page is the tubeless variety as shown in most of the pictures. It will be a completely UST Sealed rim and will be shipping with the corresponding tubeless valve as well.

Is the front wheel convertible to 15x100?

yes it is, but you will need different end caps which we do not carry unfortunately.

Awsome wheels

Having ridden on lots of different wheels over the last 20 years, these are some of the best I have seen and ridden. Looks awesome, a few grams heavier then the Mavic crossmax SX, better hubs and works great! Wish it had a 10mm thru axle for the rear, if it did would be the best wheels on the market. Perfectly true wheels!!

i think these wheels are sick. the true tubeless seals up really well and i've never had a leak. they take wide tires easliy and give you a big foot print. they're also really stiff and track whatever line you put them on, and stand up to abuse extremely well. i suppose if you case enough jumps they might show it, but i haven't come close to knocking them out of true yet. not to mention they look MEAN!

haven carbons are more than twice as much, weaker, and only 300 grams less. i understand that's a sizeable amount, but it's an engineering feat that these whells are so strong and only weigh 1750g, and cost under $1k for a set

because of the tubless design, you have to use easton's proprietary spokes. so if you snap some, you'll have to shell out a little extra, but that's an extra couple bucks over the life of the wheels.

Chris - The spokes for Easton UST wheels are standard straight pull spokes, available through any bike shop. The only proprietary part is the nipple, as it threads onto the spoke, and threads into the rim.

I just got my wheel, put the cassette and brake on then realized it didn't have an axle I have a 2010 trek ex9. I had to pull the axel out and just slide it through so I could mount with the skewer. Is that right? When I talked to the guy last week he said it was the right wheel for the bike

Responded on

If you are talking about a through axle, that comes with the frame/fork. Through axle wheels do not come with that part, as it is different for different frames/forks. But as long as your wheel is setup for the correct standard for the frame (ex: 12x142) then it will work. If you are pulling a through axle out of the frame, and trying to mount the wheel with a QR, that is not correct, and you need different endcaps. If you don't know what I'm talking about, GO TO YOUR LOCAL BIKE SHOP!
