The Haven Zero Setback Seatpost is made of Easton's TaperWall 7000-series aluminum to be tough, yet lightweight. TaperWall is their proprietary method of butting that lets Easton reinforce delicate sections of the post, such as the frame/post intersection and seat clamp head, and allow central portions to be thinner, to both save weight and reduce the severity of a rough trail that would otherwise rattle your spine.
While it's light enough for the average XC bike, the Haven Zero Setback Seatpost is made to be all-mountain tough. Drops, bombing runs, g-outs -- it'll endure all of that without a problem.
Also, Easton wisely knows that frame manufacturers are never consistent with tube-sizes, so the Haven Zero Setback Seatpost comes in 27.2, 30.9, and 31.6mm diameters to fit whatever you ride. It's two-bolt clamp assembly will give you nearly infinite adjustability to perfect your saddle tilt. And it's far more secure against slipping than single-bolt assemblies. It comes in Brushed Black with a magnesium-toned anodized clamp and is 400mm in length.
