Drawing the short straw isn't so bad.

Easton's Haven 35 Riser Carbon Handlebar is the all new younger sibling of its market-leading counterpart, the Havoc 35 Carbon. There are some key differences that distinguish the former from the latter, namely that the Haven 35 Carbon offers two options of rise (20 or 40 millimeters), has a more accessible 750 millimeter length, and boasts a claimed weight that's as much as 32 grams lighter.

The Haven 35 Carbon is constructed with Easton's TaperWall technology, which strategically varies the thickness of the carbon to maximize strength and compliance in appropriate areas while saving weight overall. Easton proves their handlebars with the standard, hydraulically applied fatigue test and an alarmingly draconian-looking device that measures impact resistance. Unless you're an eight foot robot, these are virtually impossible to break.

The Easton Haven 35 Riser Carbon Handlebar has 9 degrees of bend, five degrees of upsweep, and is available in Low Rise or High Rise in the colors Black, Blue, Green, and Red. Please note that it is only compatible with a 35 millimeter stem clamp.

  • TaperWall carbon-fiber construction
  • 750mm width
  • 20mm and 40mm rise
  • Nine-degree bend
  • Five-degree sweep
  • Requires 35mm stem clamp

Love the Haven 35

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a 2015 Enduro Expert and was looking to upgrade the alum bar. I like the high rise so went with the carbon Haven instead of the Havoc. I love the width 750mm. Anything more is too much. Also, the Haven is light than the Havoc. This handling is noticeably better with this bar over the stock specialized alum bar. The look is awesome - paired it with the Havoc stem because it looks great. Couldn't be happier and receiving complements. Careful installing because like all of these bars they scratch easy.

Wider bar

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought this because I wanted a wider bar for more control while descending. My bike came with a carbon bar, so I felt like I couldn't "downgrade" it by replacing it with an aluminum bar. I'm not sure I would have really noticed a difference, though. Haven't had this for very long, so I can't speak to the durability. However, my previous bar wast an Easton carbon bar and survived several crashes.
