Light and durable.

With composite technology continually being pushed to the limits, we're always on the verge of the next component boasting a 'lighter and more aerodynamic' design than was previously thought possible. And while we're all for these attributes that seemingly dominate our current world of cycling, we're equally concerned with the durability of these featherweight products. This couldn't be more true for cockpit componentry, and it seems that Easton is right on track with this way of thinking. With its new EC90 Zero Offset Seatpost, Easton hit the drawing board with a focus on low weight and durability. In fact, it's the lightest post in Easton's lineup (200g in a 31.6mm), but with a few exclusive technological innovations, it's also one of the strongest due.

Easton built the EC90 carbon post with both its Relief-Area Design (RAD) and TaperWall technology. TaperWall is a manufacturing technique that applies more carbon to the wall surfaces of the post, where stiffness is paramount. Meanwhile, less material is applied to areas requiring more compliance. For the EC90, this means that you get a thinner aft portion of the post, which creates a more compliant, comfortable ride quality. However, the thicker sides provide an enhanced level of rigidity and a strong resistance to torsional flex. The RAD technology works directly with the TaperWall, essentially flattening the rear section of the post. In addition to this eliminating unnecessary weight, RAD prevents the gouging and scoring that often occurs on round posts from the binder bolt/clamp assembly.

In addition to the post itself, Easton's top grade EC90 carbon material is also used on both the upper and lower halves of the clamp assembly. This all-carbon system securely encloses your saddle's rails using a hidden two-bolt design. Not only are fine-tune adjustments made easy, but you also retain a clean aesthetic and solid aerodynamics with the two 4mm clamping bolts staying tucked away and out of view.

The Easton EC90 Zero Offset Seatpost is available with a uni-directional Matte Carbon finish, either a 300 or 400mm length, and with 27.2, 30.9, and 31.6mm diameters.
