Put some grips on and go.

While Easton's EC90 Flat Handlebar is the undisputed featherweight champion of XC bars, it's a pure racer's tool. This Easton EC90 SL Carbon Riser Bar is a slightly more comfortable way to go, while only giving up 25g -- the mighty heft of an energy gel.

Just like its flat brother, Easton's EC90 SL Carbon Riser Bar still benefits from brand-exclusive EC90 SL Carbon and from the TaperWall technology that is elemental to their superior layup. In a bar this light, that's critical; voids and pockets are invitations for a carbon bar to become brittle over time. TaperWall is really Easton's way of precisely allocating every microgram of fiber in its bars, putting more material in key locations for reinforcing, and it's how they carefully slim down elsewhere for weight savings. With the smoothest and cleanest possible layup, the EC90 Riser Bar will be the ultimate in durability for such a light weight bar.

As for the aforementioned comfort benefits of the Easton EC90 SL Carbon Riser Bar, it not only gets a 20mm rise, but at 635mm, is also 45mm wider (1.75 inches) than the EC90 Flat Handlebar. That'll give you better steering control as well as put you in a more upright position for marathon-distance racing or for long throw downs on the trail when you're not wearing a number, but given the pace, sure should be.

The EC90 SL Carbon Riser Bar is made of Easton EC90 SL Carbon. It comes in a 635mm width and has a 31.8mm clamp diameter. It has a 9 degree backsweep, 5 degree upsweep, and comes in a uni-directional Matte Carbon Black finish.
