The DT Swiss FR600 Downhill Wheels have been keeping gravity fiends rolling for years, thanks to their ample strength, and modestly light weight. They roll on DT’s bombproof hubs, laced to the FR600 rim, which has long been a favorite. When you’ve got something good going on, there’s no sense changing it, and the FR600 illustrates that point perfectly.
At the heart of the FR600 wheels are DT’s 350 hubs. While not as light as the race-bred 240s, the 350s share DT’s Star Ratchet technology with their lighter sibling, meaning that they’re super durable, and a snap to rebuild, without requiring tools. The larger flanges build a stiffer wheel, which is especially important if you like to send it from time to time. They’re laced with DT’s stainless spokes to the proven FR600 rim. This mid-wide rim yields a stable tire platform, even when you’re running bigger rubber. The fact that these wheels are only available in standard DH sizes underscores the fact that they’re built for gravity enthusiasts, whether you’re lapping the bike park all season, or using them as a DH training wheel.
The DT Swiss FR600 Wheels are available in either 20x110mm front, or 12x150mm rear, and in the color Black.
