Overdrive Comp Complete Mountain Bike - 2016

Diamondback's line of hardtail XC bikes got a facelift for 2016 with the addition of sprightly 27.5in wheels for quick rolling speed over variable terrain and pinpoint agility to handle the technical sections. The 2016 Overdrive Comp Complete Mountain Bike sits just below the top-end Overdrive Pro in Diamondback's line of hardtails, making it a race-ready whip with a budget-friendly price. It features a smooth-shifting Shimano Deore drivetrain, powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and tubeless-ready 27.5in hoops wrapped in fast, grippy Kenda tires.

The Overdrive Comp's frame is hand-built from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, often regarded as the best all-around alloy from which to make bike frames. It incorporates composite components of magnesium and silicon that infuse the metal with enhanced rigidity, deformation resistance, and incredible torsional strength while still being one of the lightest alloys on the market. The bottom line is that this frame is ready to handle your worst day on the trail while helping you ride your best.

The geometry of the Overdrive Comp was perfected for tearing up the trail, with a moderate, 68-degree head tube angle and a 73-degree seat tube angle to provide an aggressive geometry geared towards efficient handling and hard hammering. The handling is further enhanced by sub-17in chainstays, which take advantage of the mid-sized wheels for able dexterity across enduro-grade rock gardens. Diamondback pairs the Overdrive Comp with a RockShox Recon Silver Solo Air fork boasting 120mm of plush travel to smooth out the trail and a lockout option for powering up climbs.
