No surrender.

The Diamondback Mission 27.5 2.0 Complete Mountain Bike is built to take your riding forward, especially when the terrain gets wild. Building on the Mission’s history as a bulletproof trail bruiser, it makes it even more capable with bigger wheels and a more aggressive geometry. And with FOX suspension and a SRAM one-by-ten drivetrain, it’ll take on your favorite trails, the local bike park, and everything in between.

Like the previous Mission, the latest version’s aluminum frame is built to withstand aggressive riders getting wild in hairy terrain. It runs an updated version of Diamondback’s Knuckle Box suspension platform, which has been redesigned to provide more support in the mid-stroke, which allows you to push the new Mission harder, especially in corners. The geometry has also become more aggressive. The head angle has been relaxed by half a degree to 66.5, and, when combined with the larger wheels, it provides significantly more stability, especially when initiating corners at speed. The seat angle has been steepened by a degree to 73, keeping you in a more aggressive position for technical climbing. And although the wheel size has grown, the chainstays have been lengthened by a modest 10mm, keeping the Mission responsive, while preserving the stability you need to ride fast.

For the 2.0 build, FOX handles the suspension duties, with a FLOAT CTD rear shock, and an Evolution Series FLOAT 34 CTD up front — with a full 160mm of travel. The drivetrain is supplied by SRAM, with an X9 rear derailleur and X7 rear trigger shifter, paired with a wide-range 11-36t cassette. The exception is the Race Face Respond crankset, which is equipped with a 30T narrow-wide chainring to eliminate the need for a front derailleur. Stopping is handled by SRAM DB5 brakes, with 180mm rotors. The cockpit consists of a DB PROBAR handlebar, DB 50mm stem, a Crank Brothers Kronolog dropper post, and a DB saddle. It rolls on DB disc wheels, wrapped in Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires.

The Diamondback Mission 27.5 2.0 Complete Mountain Bike is available in four sizes, from Small to X-Large, and in the color Grey.
