They'll never forget their first bike.

They may not know it yet, but your energy-filled little one is going to love riding a bike. Give them their first taste of the sport with a bike that's the right size for them, and more importantly, looks like it's ready to go fast. Diamondback's Mini Viper Kids' Bike is inspired by BMX geometry, and it includes training wheels so they can take their time learning to corner with confidence in the driveway. Before you know it, they'll be riding laps around you all afternoon long.

Diamondback builds the Mini Viper with a strong high-tensile steel frame that will be able to withstand more than a few bumps and first spills, and responsive coaster brakes are easy to use for little rippers learning how to control their speed with their feet. To protect wayward fingers and clothing, Diamondback added a plastic chainguard around the single-speed steel crank, and the 16-inch wheels have rugged tires for stability in case driveway adventures extend into the backyard.

Perfect bike for 4 year old

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just the right size for my tall 4 year old. Pretty heavy but seems like it will last a long time and not break down.

Nice Quality Kid's Bike

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

- Great solid bike, and it should get a lot of use over the next couple of years. (It is a little on the heavy side in my opinion) but you can't really go wrong at this price point.

- Super easy setup out of the box! It took approximately 15 minutes to assemble this bike.

- The next step or a nice first bike option for you to consider whether your child is coming of a strider type of bike or venturing out on two wheels for the first time!!
