No terrain is off-limits.

Trying to decide which type of bike you want to invest in can be challenging, especially when you don't want to limit yourself to one type of riding. If you're looking for a bike that you can ride around town then take to the gravel bike path on the weekends, we'd recommend Diamondback's Haanjo Tero Complete Road Bike. As the most affordable member of Diamondback's Haanjo line, the Haanjo Tero blends reliable Shimano componentry with an endurance frame that's versatile enough to take on casual or fitness rides.

As it does throughout the Haanjo line, Diamondback uses 6061-T6 aluminum to shape the Haanjo Tero's frame. This treated version of the metal offers an ideal blend of low weight and high strength, which will help you feel nimble while pedaling over rolling bike paths or accelerating out of corners on neighborhood streets. Though the fork is also alloy and steel, the plush, 40mm Kenda tires provide a Happy Medium between you and the road, gravel, or dirt, damping vibrations and absorbing the rhythmic chatter of unpaved washboard.

Diamondback opts for an endurance geometry on the Haanjo Tero, slackening the head tube angle to allow you to sit more upright than on traditional racing bikes. This geometry lets you keep an eye on traffic and other road users while commuting and can help prevent fatigue in your back and upper body during long weekend rides. Blending comfort with practicality, Diamondback includes shallow drop bars with a flared shape on the Haanjo Tero as well, which allow you to ride with your arms in a more natural, stable position — even while cheating the wind in the drops.

Whether you're encountering a wall of a hill or indulging in a bit of speed on descents, the gear ratios in Shimano's user-friendly Claris drivetrain keep all terrain accessible and offer the same dependability on display throughout all Shimano componentry. The bike also includes Tektro mechanical disc brakes for dependable, consistent stopping power when descents or weather conditions get a bit too sketchy.
