Hate the pad; stitching failing!

Good fit for me in the small. I like the straight ahead styling of the black bibs. Pad is very thick and obtrusive and doesn't seem to form to my body even after several wearings and two washings. With my flat butt, the edge of the thickest part of the pad forms a ledge-like protrusion which is readily visible (not the best look). Stitching on my right thigh is unraveling after only two washings.

Pad issue

Fit is great but the pad creates an, um, augmentation effect. Your ride will not suffer but you may take your post ride coffee while sitting on your bike rather than suffer stares and the occasional smiles from onlookers.

Great bib shorts

At 6' 5" I always have a great challenge finding clothes to fit me in the cycling world, I purchased two XXL pairs of these bib shorts and found the pad to be very comfortable and the bib material to be very high quality. I have done two century rides in them and countless hours on the spin bike and they breath very well and do not chaffe at all. If your looking for a pair of affordable high end cycling shorts, I can recommend these.

I am 6'5, 200lbs, 44 chest, 34 inseam, and 32 waist. That is all over the sizing chart. I would assume the XL is the way to go for length, but what about the waist? I don't want to be riding with baggy shorts.

pad not good

I would prefer a pad made of higher density foam and one cut larger. The overall size is large enough, but the thicker part is slightly larger than a typical racing bike seat. It is also made of low density foam. So the issue is your sitting on this "pillow" pad and with the slightest movement on the seat you rise and fall off this pillow onto the thinner part which causes discomfort. This is simply inferior compared to the pad on my Cannondale shorts, which were two thirds the cost of these.

Awesome

I am 5'8 - 175lbs and I bought a Large. This is far and away the best bib that I own. I've bought bibs that cost a lot more money but I leave them in the closet when this is clean. There is a lot of padding but it doesn't get in the way, they put the stuff in the right place. I never, ever write reviews but I had to this time.

Most comfortable bibs I own

I have a couple of Pactimo bib shorts, LG, Pearl Izumi, and Voler. The chamois in these shorts is as good as my Pactimo professional level shorts, but the fabric is so much more comfortable than anything else I own. The pactimo's have a tendency to bunch up a little at the hip at the top of my pedal stroke, but these do not - the fabric is soft and comfortable. I've ridden with these on short and long (105 mile) rides and these shorts just seem to blend in and disappear. They are great!

How did you find the sizing?

Responded on

I have a 34" waist, so the large is the correct size for me by the sizing chart. Fit perfectly!

@Johnnydm1, in the gray box that shows the price, there's a link in orange lettering called "view sizing chart".

Great lightweight bib

I was looking for a bib to wear for summer bike commuting. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. The fabric is lightweight and stays cool, the fit is great, no tugging at the shoulders and the chamois is thick without being too beefy - plenty of support for long rides (30+ miles). I'm 6'0'' and 180, 34" waist and the L fits really well. Glad I got these, even though they're a bit pricey.
