Description

No more frosty fingers.

Cold weather doesn't stop you from getting time in the saddle thanks to the Descente Shelter Glove. This men's cycling glove is a fortress against cold weather and icy conditions, but isn't so bulky that you lose bar sensitivity. Descente's stretchy softshell fabric lined with fleece blocks wind and moisture to keep you warm, while extra long cuffs extend protection to your wrists. Descente added extra grip to the pre-curved fingers of the Shelter Glove, and included a terry cloth nose wipe to keep bogies in check.

how are these with wind chill and thermal protection? what degree F can you ride with these?

Responded on

I don't notice any wind getting through them and I have rode with them down to 10 degrees.

Was wondering how these do in the rain.

They don't seem to repel a lot of water; the fabric on the back of the hand is slightly perforated for some breathability, and the fleecy fabric on the palm also will soak up water. I like them more as a warm glove for dry, cold weather. Since they run large, I wear them with thin cotton gloves as additional liners. This does protect from showers, but not from extended rain.

really REALLY warm

wow, these gloves will definitely keep your hands nice and toasty on the coldest rides. I've never had an issue with my hands getting cold wearing these on 20-30 degree rides. I also love that the cuffs extend way out, so there's none of that exposed skin where your gloves end and jacket begins. no more having to explain that strange red strip of skin on your wrist!
