Italian made, winter approved.

Back for another year, the Italian-made De Marchi Thermal Bib Tights remain as effective as they were in previous generations. The combination of thermal regulation, pre-shaped panels, and clean styling make them a perennial favorite in our own cycling wardrobes. We're sure that just two hours in temperatures ranging into the high-30s will show you why Italian materials and craftsmanship make a difference.

The Tights' active ingredient is De Marchi's Roubaix-Type fabric, which has a soft, brushed lining for comfortable touch on your skin and temperatures in your microclimate. Nothing's worse than overheating in the middle of a cold ride and spending a final, miserable hour spinning in a clammy chill, so De Marchi incorporated ventilating panels in the back. This means the Thermal Bib Tights don't just insulate; they also regulate, keeping your body's temperature in the ideal range while evacuating any moisture from the inside.

The fit is designed with pre-shaped panels that conform to your body while in the cycling position, and the nylon and Lycra blend of the Roubaix material provides gentle compression and a firm, secure feel. The seams are all flat-locked and sinuously dodge sensitive elements like the knee caps to eliminate abrasion during repetitive motions — like pedaling. The short front zipper means De Marchi is able to extend the coverage up to your rib cage while still offering an easy solution for bio breaks.

De Marchi has kitted the Thermal Bib Tights with EIT's Endurance HP chamois, which is designed to provide enough comfort on its own for base-building rides of two or three hours. It also has a low enough bulk to accommodate an additional pair of shorts for more insulation on longer rides in colder temperatures.

Great Winter bibs! Made in Italy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love winter bibs!!! They make riding in cold weather a pleasure. These are very high quality and an insane value! If they fit, you should love them. I've used these winter bibs a lot. These are warm. The fleeced material goes all the way up the chest. I've used these happily down to 30 degrees (with a good winter jacket, winter gloves, shoe covers, and a thermal cap). Nice details like "Roubaix" fabric (medium thick) fleeced on the inside. This material is used in the front panels. While a lighter more ventilated fabric is used in the rear leg panels. Also, a thin flexible panel behind the knee, zipper in the front (to ease exit), sewn in labels (that wont fall off in the wash), high-quality mesh on the straps and back for breathability. The CyTech EIT chamois is excellent. De Marchi owns CyTech (also a supplier of chamois to Rapha, Assos, etc.). The endurance chamois is very soft and very comfortable and thick just under the sit bones. CONS: None that I found. Note: Due to the stirrup design (which I prefer), the ankle is a little loose. Thus I wear 9 cm Castelli black wool socks over the ankles (and booties in super cold or wet weather). Perfect. FIT: These De Marchi winter bibs fit true to size. I'm 5'10" and 185. I wear a size L in Pearl Izumi and a XL in Castelli. Here, the size L fits me perfect. ... I think the size L would fit riders who are 5'7"-5'10" and about 160-185 lbs.
