Though De Marchi's Veloce bibs generally attract the most attention as the brand's top-of-the-line kit, the lesser-known Leggero has rightfully earned a devoted following of its own. As the Veloce's lighter sibling, the Leggero Limited Edition Men's Bib Short is a valuable option to have on-hand for summer rides and races. Unlike some hot-weather kit, the Leggero also delivers the type of classic, understated style that would have been appreciated on the roads anytime throughout the last century but with a level of functionality that its wholly of the present.

The days when breathability and staying cool become essential rather than convenient are the ones that truly allow the Leggero's silky microfiber to show its moisture-wicking prowess. De Marchi demonstrates decades of expertise by skillfully contouring each panel to follow your pedal stroke in the saddle without shifting or stretching out over time. Along the waist, supportive mesh panels provide extra stability and ventilation to an important area, while allowing for ample freedom of movement along your lower back.

Made of supple, airy mesh, the Leggero's crisp white bib straps are substantial enough to do their job and stay in place without adding an ounce of unnecessary bulk. They leave us impressed, once again, by De Marchi's admirable restraint in kit design. Further, we commend De Marchi's choice of Elastic Interface inserts, as it trusts the expert designs over in-house creations and chooses the appropriately light N-Duro Air chamois for the Leggero. The plush, supple arrangement of foam cushions and supports only where it's most useful for you in the saddle, with excess material carefully removed to shave weight and increase flexibility wherever possible.

  • A limited edition warm-weather bib short
  • Light, supple fabric breathes well and holds its shape
  • Supportive mesh paneling along waist
  • Slim but plush chamois for unobtrusive comfort
  • Soft leg grippers gently hold short in place
  • De Marchi kit demonstrates classic Italian expertise

Well comfortable and light but ...

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXL

Very good material comfortable, good for tropical use But only I resist 30 miles then it is painful in the rear. I like for short runs. Less than 30 miles

De Marchi always nice quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Had always used Demarchi & Castelli before I took a few years off of cycling & gained a few pounds.... Now I have returned & saw these on sale. They were out of my usual Large so I went up a size thinking if a problem I can send back exchange etc.

Fit fine though & they are as I remember a nice piece of kit.
I'm going to go grab another Thanks Competitive

Great short at this price point

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xxl

Usually average 75-100 miles per week. This short is comfortable. The bib doesn't bunch up on the shoulders, and the chamois is just enough to be comfortable without being too bulky. You won't do better for the price.

Torn after one ride

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

The bib is very nice and the padding is comfortable. However, mine ripped just after one ride which was only 14 miles. I hope this is a manufacturing defect and it won't happen to other customers but who knows.

Torn after one ride

Good bib, but temper your expectations

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I like these okay, but they strike me as a bib made to sell on sale. They would not be a good choice at full price, ever. The materials are light and breathable. The chamois is thin, 2-3 hour range, tops. No flat seam construction. Legs just a tad long. Fit and finish is fine though. Snap them up if they are on discount. They are a good choice for shorter rides in hot climates.

Great Bibs

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xl

Recently bought these bibs and love them. Chamois is solid, nothing spectacular. Shoulder straps are soft and super comfortable. Instead of leg grippers, these bibs have compression panels on the bottom of the legs. Brilliant. 6'1 200lbs and the XL is perfect. Also, bibs should be black. Way to do it right De Marchi.

Great value

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Couple short, 1/2 hour, rides and great so far. I'm retired, man it feels good to say that, so money is limited. These are great. Bought one pair and am looking to buy another.

DeMarchi - best bang for your $

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

DeMarchi is just a solid, solid brand. The quality in their products always exceeds my expectations, especially considering the price. Comfort, and compression where you need it. This is my go to brand for shorts, warmers, and gloves. I really need to try one of their jerseys at some point.
