De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra Gloves $0.00
You might be crazy, but at least you're warm.
With denser, thicker insulation these De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra Gloves are the next step in protection from their Contour Plus Gloves. They're made of a different material, 3D Thermashield Extreme, that seems like neoprene at first glance. Once you try them on you find that they're a bit softer than your ancient neoprene gloves, and they afford a better feel with the bar while you ride.
Like their lighter weight brethren, the Contour Plus Ultra Gloves are windproof and water resistant. However, there is no membrane laminated inside the fabric to provide this protection. Rather, the fabric has a multi-cavity construction. The outer layer is so densely woven that its very nature makes it windproof and water resistant. Between the inner and outer surfaces, this version of Thermashield has a substantial pile that traps the warmth created by your hands. They're designed to keep your hands comfortable in 32 - 41 degrees F (0 - 5 degrees C) temperatures.
The De Marchi Contour Plus Ultra Gloves are Black and are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. They have a stretchy Lycra cuff that extends far enough up the wrist to eliminate exposed skin between gloves and jacket when you're in the drops. The palms have silicone grippers shaped like the De Marchi rooster to help you hold onto the bars when it's wet and nasty.

Too Much Glove For Me
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I purchased these gloves to wear on my daily commute when it was too cold for my other gloves, but returned them before using them as they were clearly too much glove for my needs. The fabric has a very stiff, neoprene like feel to it and the seams on the interior are very noticeable. The cuff is LONG, it goes to my mid forearm, which is a little overkill IMO. I can't speak to the temperature rating that DeMarchi gives this glove, but based on the other cycling gloves that I own, I would say that these would easily be comfortable at the lower bound of their rating (32 degrees).
