Contour Bib Shorts

And when you pull on the DeMarchi Contour Bib Shorts, you'll feel over 60 years of heritage and development. The Contour bib shorts use abrasion-free, anatomical panels, advanced fabric selections, and a chamois worthy of a Grand Tour. 

Without a doubt, the main feature of the Contour bib shorts is the Pro-Grade Extra Stretch fabric that comprises most of the six-panel, anatomically-cut shorts. This material has a 20% elastic content to give it a softer, more generous stretch. The end result of this selection is a fit that's less compressive but more comfortable than other race-day bib shorts in the DeMarchi line. However, this isn't to say that the Contour isn't 'race-worthy' per se -- quite the opposite. DeMarchi found that for most people, the idea of wearing ultra-tight shorts is antithetic to what they truly want from cycling bottoms. So, the Contour focuses on a contour-following cut that's unwavering in its support of the muscle groupings. This means that while you still receive the benefits of race-fit, you do without the fabric overly compressing the genital region.

DeMarchi extends its comfort ideology to where you spend 95% of your time -- the saddle. Accordingly, the Contour comes equipped with the Tour Elastic Interface Technology (EIT) chamois. This is a segmented, multi-density pad that offers the most protection toward the rear, as the density thins towards the front. De Marchi calls it minimalist, we say that it's the most traditional pad that De Marchi offers.

To reduce abrasion, the Contour's bib straps are made from a fine mesh. At the leg cuffs you'll find external Jacquard grippers that are lined with gel strips to keep the legs in place as you ride. Also, reflective tabs have been sewn into the seams on the back of the legs to increase your visibility in low-light conditions.
