Item # DAK00EA

Don't let the heat cramp your style.

When summer's most miserably hot days roll through, the Dakine Syncline Shorts make your ride refreshingly cooler. Zippered inseam vents pull cooling air into the shorts, and the quick-drying polyester and spandex fabric pulls moisture away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable.

By using polyester and spandex, Dakine made the Syncline light, stretchy, and tough, so you can pedal hard, crash, and repeat — all in the same run. There's a stretchy panel at the back for increased mobility, and the Syncline also has a DWR treatment to keep moisture and grime at bay. Zippered pockets in the front and on the legs take care of your valuables, and internal waist adjustments allow you to dial in the perfect custom fit.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

stretchy pants

great zippered pockets. great zippered vents. great stretch panel on your hind quarters. a wee bit baggy and long for my taste but not enough so that I want to return them. they are stretchy and the material had been really durable. loving all of my dakine bike products!

    Unanswered Question

Do this have pockets in the back like the older style?

I have had these shirts for a couple months now and have ridden them hard. They run small, I had to size up to a 34 instead of a 32. As far as durablilty, these shorts had had up decently well. The seams are starting to open up around the crotch. But these shorts are super stretchy which I love. They have a good length. A little below the knee. Great for enduro.

Ideal fit with somewhat small pockets

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit:True to size

I bought these shorts in a size 32 size. This shorts are a complement to my Chrome Union shorts size 32 which I also bought but had to return after just 2 shorts months of commuter riding, after which the stitching had come undone.

So far the Dakines have been in use for about 3 weeks in a 14 mile commuter riding duties. The stitching and the fabric have held up rather well.

The fit is true, generous. The worst thing I have think about doing is getting the right size...which depending of the case can wear to premature wear and tear. These shorts are ideal in the size I got.

The only qualm are the sizing of the pockets, which fit a wallet in one side and a bulky key set in another. The pockets are zippered meaning, falling items is not going to be a problem.

BUT, the pockets are compact, meaning that depending of the size of the items, they can also reduce the comfort in the thigh section....

BUT then, these shorts are build for riding and not for carrying large loads.

I hope to ride these shorts for a long time. Read and see the feedback on other shorts, many riders complain about either, the durability of the fabric and in my case, the durability of the stitching.
Being that these are MTB riding shorts, I am pretty sure they will last and last.

      These are no nut huggers!

-The 4 way stretch fabric is amazing.

-There could be more pockets but backpacks work just as good.
-Fit is great, they come with adjustable wastband.
-Leg vents are superb.
-durability seems to be holding well.
Can anyone comment how these fit? Run big? Normal? Small?

I didn't buy them from back country but what i can say is they are light, quite stretchy, the leg vents work wonders, and they fit awesomely. I wear a size 33 waist. I bought size 34 and adjusted the tensioners a little and i haven't looked back. I would buy more pairs in different colors but my wallet is a little sparse after the purchase lol.
