How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Dakine Syncline Short

Great pair of shorts use them while I XC mountain bike with no issues. Also use a Pearl Izumi liner inside these and they work well together. Quality shorts and very durable.

tuff shorts (size xl)

Im a 37 inch waist and lrg build ., ex football legs. these fit great. sit high and don't bunch up at the crotch when trying to get behind the seat on steep drop downs. overall a little warm, but great for spring and fall. reflective on the front is nice. would recommend again.

Great Shorts, but Check the Sizing.

These hold up much better than some other Dakine "Pace" shorts that I had picked up. I wear a size 33 usually, and the Large waist is a perfect fit; so they run a bit on the small side. They have a durable build and fit so well over knee pads I'm thinking of picking up another pair!

These run small

As others have indicated about these shorts, make sure you buy a size bigger than usual. I have a 34 waist and I usually wear a L. I bought a pair of these in L and they fit a little snug. I do not even have to make use the hook and loop adjustments on the sides simply because they are always on the biggest setting.

I regret not getting them in XL because they are actually nice. I love the way that they fit and the length is not too short for me (6'1"). They are about an inch below my knees. I also like the zippered vents on the legs and the lightweight, but sturdy, material that they are made of.

These run small!!!

Nice shorts but don't bother using the sizing chart provided. I wear a 32 so I ordered the Mediums that are listed for 32"-34". They were too tight. $7 later, I learned my lesson about buying clothes online.

Cool look but dissapointing.

First, Dakine size chart shows Medium size is for waist of 33" to 35", I am a true 34 on all my pants and short and I could not get in those.
The fabric does not stretch so, no extra room for adjustment.
Not sure that I would trust the fabric for these long epic rides.

...looks like you may have used the wrong sizing chart ? There is a separate one fro biking shorts.

Love these Shorts!

I'm one of the many who are in between sizes, but generally a Medium. Have tried shorts from various brands - they were either too tight or they rode a little low when dismounting at certain sections on the trail. Then I found the Syncline - adjustable waist bands made for a perfect fit.A mesh inner with zippers at the thighs for added ventilation, snaps and loops to secure your chamois/ liner shorts. Roomy enough, and yet not snagging when pedaling, and goes over your knee pads nicely. What else can I say? Love these Shorts!
