Pick up the Pace.

The Dakine Pace Short is a back-to-basics riding short that just happens to split between subtle styling and way-out-there graphics. More importantly, however, the Pace Short packs all the comfort and performance of shorts that cost three times as much.

Dakine built the Pace Short with tough polyester and spandex fabric. Since nylon is already abrasion-resistant, Dakine was able to use a light 145-gram weave. Reinforced stitching throughout key areas of stress ensure long wear. A four-way stretch back panel and gusseted crotch add durability and an unlimited range of motion.

The Pace short comes with front and back pockets to take care of your valuables, and exterior waist adjustments and belt loops allow you to dial in the perfect custom fit.

The Dakine Pace Short comes in four sizes between Small to XX-Large. It's available in Red, Kelly, Charcoal, or Black.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Here's what others have to say...

stoked on it

i burn through clothes from digging and exploring for new spots. dakine's not my favorite brand but they hold up well and at this price im not afraid to damage them, which helps me focus on digging and riding. mine did not run small like some other people's, however.

Lil tight

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

By the looks of the style of these, I figured they'd be loose baggy fitting shorts...I found them to be quite short- waisted though. Sadly, I will have to re-order the next size up and hope they fit better....without the moose knuckle :? However, the color is SWEET!! So 4 stars for that

Runs a tad small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

Seems like great quality short, stitching is good, stretchy material, length is perfect.

I wear a size 34 jean and shorts normally, however the large is a bit snug. I should have ordered XL, but since I plan on being down a couple inches pretty soon, its no big deal.

Buy these shorts and pair them with a good liner and you'll have a winning pair.

Stretchy & extremely comfortable!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Nice lightweight pair of riding shorts with no heavy liner to weigh them down. The lightweight, stretchy fabric breathes well & dries pretty quickly. There's no liner short or liner material like Dakine's heavier-duty freeride shorts, so you stay much cooler. They look so good & are so comfy that I tend to wear them much more for casual wear than for riding. Suitable for XC riding in a wide range of temps & would even make a great swim trunk if you found a suitable swimming hole on your ride or hike.
I'm 6' 5" with a 36" waist & the XL fits me perfectly. The 14" inseam is perfect!
