When the mountains are your home.

Styled for a woodsman from the Pacific Northwest, but technically perfect for a day of mountain biking, the Dakine Oakridge Flannel Shirt is presentable enough to go straight to the dinner table.

Dakine constructed the Cypress with a woven polyester. That means it's extremely breathable and it pulls moisture away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable. This helps your body regulate its temperature, even during the hottest days, so you don't fatigue as quickly. The full-snap front lets you dump heat if you need to.

The Dakine Oakridge Flannel Shirt - Long Sleeve - Men's comes in sizes Small through XX-Large and in the color Kelly.

Trails 2 the Bars

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large

This flannel was my BFF when tackling The Whole Enchilada in early November. Cold and wet conditions made this flannel a must from the top of Hazard County all the way down to the start of the Porcupine trail section. (wet and cold to misty and dry to sunny conditions).

The Oakridge flannel has an insanely soft hand to it make it perfect wearing with or without a pack. My only complaint is how tight the cuffs are on the sleeves - like they made it for tiny people/kid's hands?

The Large fit me perfectly and is super stylish on and off the trail.

From snowboard bags to flannels, Dakine slays it all!

Adventure Flannel

  • Fit: True to size

I got this for my bf originally as a long-sleeve biking layer, but it honestly has broadened to become the every-day layer. The material is SUPER soft, and the fit is nice. Slightly bigger- easy to wear over another shirt/jersey, but not super baggy. He typically takes a Large, and the L fits perfect through the shoulders and body. The colors are rad too, very vibrant! So far, so good on washing- I'd recommend the gently cycle, and air drying to keep its shape. All in all, super bomber flannel, can't wait for more colors!

Soft Flannel for bigger guys

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Small

I bought this item to spring ski in. I like the look, the materials and the buttons, but it didn't really fit me. I bought the small and it was really loose in the torso, tight in the shoulders, and the sleeves felt pretty long. The fit wasn't really right for me. I am short, i have short arms, and i'm fairly skinny. One thing to note is that i lift, so my shoulders and back are a little larger then the average guy at my size and these shirts are tight in the shoulders. It is a good quality item, its just not right for me.

Does the shirt have any kind of lining or is it suitable as a mid-layer for skiing/snowboarding?

Hey Mark - This Oakridge Flannel does not have any lining, it is made of woven polyester to be breathable. You could wear it as a mid-layer for skiing but it will not provide a lot of warmth. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.

Great fit and materials

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I get this shirt every year. The large is a great fit. I do wish the opening on the sleeves for your hands was just a bit bigger. Have to unbutton then button again when taking on or off. Also keep it out of the dryer. I've found that the material pills up when dried. Just let it air dry which doesn't take that long due to the material and it will stay looking fresh for a long time.

Tight around the wrists

For me this shirt fit good around the body and the shirt length and sleeve length was optimal. However it was tight around the shoulders and when I tried it on and mimicked my riding position it was too tight. The wrist openings were really tight too. I could not fit my hand through without unbuttoning the sleeve. If I went up to a large, the shoulders would fit but then the body would be baggy/huge and the sleeves too long. For reference I am 5'7" and 175lbs. and purchased a size medium.

Tight around the wrists

I agree, this shirt sizing is off. I have 2 other Oakridge shirts and 2 buckshot flannels, all XL. I tried this one on and had to go with an XXL.

Seriously an awesome flannel for on and off the trail! Super soft, breathable and great style. I have biked in it 4 or 5 times and haven't had any problem with the stitching like previous reviews.. So far so good!

Great riding / chillin flannel

Very soft synthetic fabric that doesn't shrink after being washed. Great for on or off the trail. I'm 5'10 175 and the large is right on for size.

Super Rad Flannel!

I am 6'3" and weigh abouht 240 lbs and I got the XXL. Fit is good, not boxy and short. Good length and slimmer body. However I haven't even washed it yet and the stitching is coming undone. :(

    Super Rad Flannel!

    Kelly, go to:

warranty.dakine.com and they'll take care of you. Sorry for the hassle.

Mine has done the same thing.....dakine has a great warranty program but i'm afraid they won't replace it because the sku is out of production. Might have to fix it myself so I can keep wearing it.

    Never Enough Flannel!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I picked this shirt up to casually wear to work and around town. I really like the design and was even more impressed by the softness of the fabric when I got it. It's the most comfortable flannel I own. I also love its breathability should I decide to use it as a layer skiing or biking. If the above's not enough, the current sale price should make the decision easy for you.

Edit: I've downgraded my review from 5 stars because of poor stitching, as mentioned by others reviewers.

I just bought the new version in Black/Castlerock. The fabric isn't as soft but the construction seems much better so hopefully the stitching issue has been resolved. I ended up returning it because I wasn't totally sold on the style.

Soft, breathable, bada bing bada boom!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I own a fair share of flannels (anywhere from 10-20) and this is the softest and most comfortable of the bunch. It is also breathable and perfect for those days out on the bike when you have a bit of cloud coverage. I would also recommend checking out Dakines site for some better pictures because it doesn't look like it has an orange cross in it like this picture shows, rather the colors blend much better. The large fits me really well and I am 6' 2" 170 lbs.
