How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Not the best

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 26

I bought these in a 26 and that is the correct size for me. The problem is that I need to pull them up so high for the pad to hit me in the right place. I don't believe these are intended to be high rise and it makes for an uncomfortable fit. The gripper on the thigh is too loose on me - same as another review. The pad is ok for short rides, but I wouldn't recommend these for mid - longer rides. I want to like these as I love the hit of camo, but like most women's mtb gear they're not great.

Just OK

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 28

These are pretty comfy for a liner. I like that they have a wide band at the bottom that doesn't rise. I think they could have done a better job on the waist band. I also don't understand why there are pockets on the side. Since these are a liner they are already going under another pair of shorts... it would be nice to keep the material down to a minimum. I ordered a 28 but a 26 would have worked a bit better for me.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 24

I wanted these shorts to be everything I ever dreamed of, but was let down quite a bit. The chamois pad is okay in size and thickness, but the band at the bottom of these shorts isn't grippy enough to do what it's intended to do- stay in place. I find that I get more rubbing with these shorts than I'd like. Dakine's sizing is also a tricky thing to grasp, I have a pair of baggies from last summer that I bought too big and these are almost too small in the waist band but the rest of the short fits decently to size. Definitely room for improvement, but I've also owned much worse.
