Description

Travel more.

Instead of accruing fees aboard awkward and questionable-quality rental bikes, pack your beloved ride in the Dakine Bike Bag. This big and protective bag fits road, mountain, and even full-on downhill bikes.

A padded divider keeps wheels from scratching the frame, and Dakine added several internal pockets for pumps, tubes, pedals, and other essentials. The Bike Bag also includes an extendable handle and urethane wheels so it easily rolls, even when fully loaded.

The Dakine Bike Bag measures 46 x 10 x 30 inches and comes in one color, Black. Please note: The bag accommodates both 27.5in and 29er bikes.

It appears the bag is designed in such a way that removal of the head set is required? Or can one just remove the handle bar and slide it into the bag? Not sure exactly what is required to safely store the bike. Bob

Bob, the headset is the interface that the fork rides on. I believe you're referring to the fork? If so, it is not required for removal in most cases. Downhill forks will need to be removed some of the time. I hope this helps. See the attached picture.

Traveling to Europe this summer and looking at bike cases/bags. Will a small tri bike fit in the Dakine bag?

Responded on

I don't think there would be an issue packing a small tri-bike in this bag. You would need to remove the handlebar and any aero bars as well. I hope this helps.
